EtherealN Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Have you tried using the Module Manager? Wynthorpe Posted October 11, 2013 Author Posted October 11, 2013 Its the installer for the stand alone module that's not compatible with the stand alone, its actually nothing to do with the Steam version, misleading title really.
EtherealN Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Its the installer for the stand alone module that's not compatible with the stand alone, its actually nothing to do with the Steam version, misleading title really. Do this: Press start, and in the Run/search field type "cmd" and press enter. Navigate to the installation directory, for example like this: CD PROGRAM FILES\EAGLE DYNAMICS\DCS WORLD\BIN\ Press enter (Note, if you installed DCS World somewhere else, change accordingly) Then type: DCS_Updater.exe update 1.2.6.18651 (or whichever version it is you have an installer for) When complete, run your installer. Once installed, run DCS world as per normal. New versions get up on autoupdate quicker than installer, since installers have to be built and tested manually. EtherealN Posted October 11, 2013 Posted October 11, 2013 Excellent. Sorry for the inconvenience; it is the recurring conundrum of whether to halt deployment through autoupdater until installers are tested to ensure a uniform deployment, which at first glance looks attractive, but also means that everyone ends up having to wait longer than desired for something that they could theoretically already have on their machines.
