question for gameport needle

hello,everyone.

I am remaking my old fly-joystick.It has a D15 standard gameport.I wish could add coolie hat function on it.

I find I can define a joystick myself in Windows98 or Windows2000's "control panel".This user-define joystick may has 4 axises/4 buttons/1 coolie hat.I can see the axis and button's define of needle in D15 gameport,but I can't find the coolie hat's.What about the coolie hat's needle define?Thank very much.
