"Jump" into the air on stored up energy. Like when you have a heavy load and one engine out in the Ka-50, reducing the blade pitch angle to gain rotor RPM then quickly increasing rotor pitch to hop into the air ( though without a pusher rotor its short lived ). Seems like quite a hairy way to get going though.
