bojangles_25 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Hi I had a look at the wiki on lua scripting and although its ok it doesnt tell you that much.. is it possible to: programmatically delete a unit from the world (if its destroyed or otherwise) programmatically add a unit to the world (given unit type and coordinates) If so, how? Appreciated "We could come back with hydraulics shot out, half the tail shot off, piece of the wing shot off, we had two engines and could come home with one... She really was a piece of machinery that you could fly into hell and back... And she was designed around that gun from day 1"

Appreciated Check out the Mission Builders Forum: http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=210 And there you probably want to have a look at the MIST package - a collection of lua functions that add a ton of possibilities to the standard mission editor when using your own code/scripts.
number3 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Still waiting to hear about about deleting a destroyed unit from the map (if that's what you are asking) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=1930512 Yes, there are many ways to add a unit to the world 314-я смешанная авиационная дивизия 314th Mixed Aviation Division: The "Fighting Lemmings"- Forums: http://314thsquadron.enjin.com/ - ED Forum Group: http://forums.eagle.ru/group.php?groupid=119
bojangles_25 Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 Still waiting to hear about about deleting a destroyed unit from the map I'm guessing thats what I want. I'm guessing that 'destroyed' units are still considered present by the game, and that there must be some sort of unit limit (or performance degradation) so would be nice to trigger a cleanup. I'm not really impressed that MIST seems to be the way to go... does this mean I would have to have other people download MIST too? number3 Posted November 18, 2013 Posted November 18, 2013 Not sure what you mean exactly. But other people wouldn't need to download MIST to play your mission(s), because the MIST library is included in your mission archive (.miz). bojangles_25 Posted November 18, 2013 Author Posted November 18, 2013 Yeah sorry I looked up more about how to use it. Its good that all dependencies are just bundled in the miz cheers "We could come back with hydraulics shot out, half the tail shot off, piece of the wing shot off, we had two engines and could come home with one...
