Fjordmonkey Posted December 17, 2013 Posted December 17, 2013 So. I've recently updated my gamebox to Win8.1 (yesyesyes, I know all about the howling about how Win8 is the devil etc. Spare me :P), but found out that my Logitech G940 suddenly don't behave properly (yes, I know the logical solution to this is to buy a Warthog, but right now the finances doesn't cover that if I want to avoid meeting a very swift, brutal death at the hands of my better half :P). First problem I found was that the Logitech Profiler no longer detects any games what so ever (DCS or others), which led me to believe that there was a problem with the Profiler itself. Uninstalled it and reinstalled: same beef. Removed ALL Logitech-software from my box (Have a G13 and a G700 mouse as well), then reinstalled the Profiler first and the software for the G13 and mouse secondly. Still no go. Tried the Logitech-boards which proved to be about as useful as a wet sock in an oilrig-fire. Tried a few other boards with much the same result. Secondly, trying to define the controls without the Profiler installed somehow makes DCS go haywire. Suddenly the left throttle controls pitch while the vertical axis on the stick suddenly controls roll AND rudder. Regardless of which axis I configure to where, the behavior still remains. Thus, I come here to see if others have had the same issue and a possible fix before I throw the sucker out the window and light it on fire :helpsmilie: Anyone? Fjordmonkey Posted December 17, 2013 Author Posted December 17, 2013 Sorry I cant help but thanks for letting me know, wont be upgrading anytime soon now. Apart from this relatively minor issue, I've had about 0 issues with Windows 8. The upgrade to 8.1 is UTTER hell if you have the wrong wireless network card (you'll face a double bluescreen then reversal to 8.0 with an ASUS PCE-N53-card in your box) or if you, like me, forget to unplug USB-hubs. Especially if you run a USB soundcard or headset through it. Anyway, going to do some poking around in the system when I get home from work and see what I can find. Bound to be an error-message somewhere, heh. Regards Fjordmonkey Clustermunitions is just another way of saying that you don't like someone. I used to like people, then people ruined that for me.
