controls/selecting aircraft: Differences between "Real/Simulation/Free Camera"?

Hello from Germany,

 

I have purchased the boxed A-10C DVD version 1.1.0.9

 

Assigning and modifying joystick inputs can be done on the “controls setting” page.

Under the tab “controls” of this page (top left) I am able to select an aircraft, actually I have three choices:

 

- “A-10C Real”

- “A-10C Simulation”

- “free camera”

 

What is the difference between a “Real” and a “Simulation” aircraft?

What is the function of "free camera” here?
