Rules
VFTU - Virtual Fighter Training Unit
Rules and Regulations:
Apply to all staff & students (members included) and will be applicable to these areas: VFTU.net website, our Discord server, our DCS servers, and all other DCS MP-servers <<(while carrying 'our tag'). These rules will be enforced and are regulated by all VFTU staff and students. Repeated infractions of these rules & regs will result in a "permaban", to which there is no 'appeal' action.
Our purpose is to provide an atmosphere in which pilots can learn and enjoy their time with our squadron without the concern of disrespectful or offensive conduct from other individuals.
RESPECT: All members of VFTU will show respect to one another at all times. This means at no time shall anyone’s: sexual preference/orientation, ethnic background, religious or political beliefs be disrespected or discriminated against, this is a 'zero-tolerance' rule and will be strictly enforced. Advertising, recruiting, and/or enlisting students to other units while a member or in this training program is forbidden and this is also a 'zero-tolerance' rule. Removal from the squadron will result without reconsideration for re-admission.
SUPPORT: VFTU will accept pilots of all skill levels and because of such, all members of VFTU are expected to be supportive and assist each other, whenever possible. We all have our areas of strengths and weaknesses and thus areas of where we can improve and share. We all learn in different ways and at different rates.
IDENTITY: It is understood that your username represents a single identity (you) and you are of least 18 years of age. Staff, Members, and trainees using multiple id's or being underage for any purpose during membership, training, and on our servers, will be permanently banned promptly without reconsideration for re-admission. This is also a 'zero-tolerance' rule.

COMMAND & CONTROL: Although VFTU doesn’t use a command structure in a rigid sense, you are expected to receive instructions from your element, flight, or squadron leaders while engaged in operations and/or training. We are trying to replicate the real world naval activities and reference materials (NATOPS/NAVAIR) as best we can while in the confines of the DCS simulator. This means following the command instructions and mission design will aid in your success of the mission operation as a whole.
TRAINING: Real life will always come first in the VFTU! We understand that many have jobs, families, friends, etc. outside of the DCS environment. There is currently a minimum attendance requirement of 1/2 -> 2 hour(s) per week (2 -> 8 hours/mo.) We do ask that you make a strong effort to make it to the training program as often as possible. We can only become better at educating in the squadron, if the enrollees are present when online. Students not meeting the minimum time criteria (w/o exception) stated above will be automatically removed from their current position in the program and will have to reapply and start again from Section-I.
DUAL ENROLLMENT: While attending the VFTU training, we ask that we be the only squadron you’re a part of during the training program. This does not mean you can’t fly with other squadrons when on multiplayer servers. We merely ask that you represent our squadron by having your tag active while flying online or until your training is completed. We value the time you are training with us, and want you to be a part of our success during this process.
