WHO ARE WE
Welcome to Combined Joint Task Force. We are a DCS virtual deployment enviroment. CJTF is made up of DCS squadrons representing US Navy, US Air Force, US Army and NATO Force. CJTF is a combat cycle based group with a rotating deployment cycle every 6-10 weeks.
HOW WE DIFFER
CJTF differs from other groups in that we invite existing DCS squadrons/airwings who qualify and meet certain criteria to join in our deployment phase and help Combined Joint Task Force accomplish its deployment goals.
Our deployment mission is an ongoing 6-10 week custom curated mission, using the latest the DCS scripting community has to offer. Mission building is one of the main reasons this group got started, and there is as much passion for mission building as there is for flying in CJTF.
It's a great opportunity for other squadrons from other groups to put their training to the test, and work in a true joint task force environment.
HOW IT WORKS
During the deployment phase, the discord is transformed into a virtual area of operation with individual sections for airbases and carriers. This allows guest squadrons to be stationed and gives pilots a central area to plan, brief and debrief with other pilots stationed at their respective bases and/or carriers.
CJTF discord also serves as a central command to plan and deconflict ATO’s with other squadron flight leads. Keep your group's power structure in place, run, plan, train, organize your base how you want. The idea is that you should feel like your group has been called up, or deployed!
A small command staff made up of delegated squadron leader(s) from deployed squadrons are responsible for overall strategy and deployment goals, but flight planning can happen in a number of ways.
- Individual squadrons MP’s can plan their own flights utilizing their tools and training. CJTF civic team will re-import flights into master .miz before pilots walk to jets, this way waypoints, ordinance, and kneeboards are ready to go. This lets groups get off the deck, or tarmac quick!
- CJTF can plan your flight for and your squadron, just shows up and fly your ATO.
- If it's solo or two ship, we just team you up with another flight in another squadron.
GREAT EXPECTATIONS
We look for squadrons interested in playing DCS as the full-fledged combat simulator that it is. Our main emphasis is on simulation, realism and immersion, as we believe that the most fun in DCS can be achieved when all members do their best to simulate flying an aircraft in a combat environment, at least as far as can be achieved while sitting in front of a computer.
