'The Night Witches' is a friendly server for female (cis & trans) DCS Players to meet, fly, practice & learn together in a supportive & friendly environment. This is a women-only server, but from time to time guest male pilots will be invited to share their skills and expertise as associate members.
1. Wheaton's Law. Treat everyone with the same respect you'd want. Remember the Golden Rule. Absolutely no harassment, witch hunting, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, TERFs/Gender Critical bull<profanity>, racism or hate speech will be tolerated and bans will be instant and final.
2. This is a WOMEN'S ONLY group. No-one who is not a cis or transsexual woman will be allowed full membership. This isn't to 'exclude' men, but to encourage and support more women into this great hobby by giving them a safe space to learn and practice.
3. No political, ideological, religious, spiritual, 'alternate medicine', anti-vax, conspiracy theory or divisive talk, whatsoever. This is a safe space for female pilots of DCS (and other flight sims) and that's it.
4. NO Cat emoji's, memes, photos etc. Zero Tolerance on this.
5. MOD / Group Owner and Flight Instructors decisions are final.
6. Please reach out to MODS, Admin or Flight Instructors with your wants, desires and requests. We will do all we can to meet everyone's needs to the best of our availability and skills. If you have the skills and manners to be a Flight Instructor, let us know.
7. If you see something against the rules or something that makes you feel unsafe, let staff know. We want this server to be a welcoming space!
8. No spam or self-promotion (server invites, advertisements etc) without permission from a staff member.
9. No age-restricted or obscene content. This includes text, images or links featuring nudity, sex, hard violence or other disturbing graphic content.
10. Post in the right channel. Any posts in the wrong channels will either be deleted by a MOD instantly or if important enough will be moved to the appropriate channel.
11. Keep Off-Topic Stuff in the Off-Topic channel. This a DCS Discord Server. Anything not related to DCS Specifically, including gifs/memes/emojis etc belongs in 'Off-Topic' only. Remember that rule 9 still applies.
12. Feel free to make connections to other members, arrange flights or make suggestions / requests to the Flight Instructors about things you want help with or about group events. If you have skills in scripting or mission editor creation, then volunteer to one of the Flight Instructors.
13. Any attempts to bypass, sidestep or otherwise violate any of these rules will result in an instant ban. Any antagonism or hate directed to another member, including the mods, admin and Flight Instructors will result in a TimeOut, Suspension or Ban at Admin's discretion.
14. I agree to pick (or be given a callsign) and use that as my server 'nickname' and I will also put my time difference from Zulu next to it. i.e. TEMPEST (Zulu) or MORGANA (Zulu + 5).
15. Voice Comms are a must in training, group missions and activities so a good and reliable headset or mic is required. We may decide to use 3rd party software like SRS too as well as some free DCS mods + OVGME, so I agree to install these and keep these up to date.
16. I have at least a HOTAS and Headtracking (TrackIR Pro or VR is highly, preferred). We have to have a minimum requirement of a HOTAS and some form of head tracking so that when we give instruction we are all operating from the same mental models.
