Rules

    • Phoenix (Bingo) Bond is Commanding Officers (CO), CrazyCandy & Venree are Joint Second in Command.
    • Training officer and Moderators will be separate rolls. This is to help you to seek out who you will need if there is a problem. However, the preference is to avoid the potential for unnecessary hierarchies,
    • The squadron will NOT be run as a milsim. (but we CAN run milsim nights if people want too),
    • If you wish to use exact NATOPS procedures, that's fine, but please do NOT attempt to insist that others do,
    • The squadron's core group of pilots in the aged/mature bracket and this will be provide the basis of the culture of the squadron.,
    • If you're NOT in your 40s, that's cool, as long as you understand that you'll need to align to our culture and not the other way around,
    • The squadron time zone will be primarily based around UK time and missions/flight sessions will typically be planned for UK evenings.,
    • It is expected that communications will be conducted in English.,
    • In game communications will conducted using Discord. The “in game” comm's technology is being investigated,
    • Whilst the hope is to be an inclusive squadron, the realities of DCS technology does mean that "reasonable" ping/game performance really is a bit of a necessity and expectation,
  1.
    • Your fellow squadron members WILL try to help you. However, please don't assume that they're an online IT help centre,
    • Please be polite to your fellow squadron mates. Banter is fine, belittling or heated arguments with your squadron mates will be at the very least, frowned upon.,
    • In game, be polite. Shooting friendlies and/or deliberately disrupting mission or training sessions will not be tolerated.,
    • Minimise swearing during online communication. Some of our fellow colleagues have families who they might not wish to expose to inappropriate language.,
    • We know that there is NO pilot who is an ace in every DCS airframe. We may well have "subject matter experts" SMEs in certain aircraft, the use of certain processes, mission editing etc. We'd appreciate you making it known if you are one of these SMEs, as we'll be looking for yourselves to assist your fellow colleagues,
    • Current plan is to aim to fly Mon, Fri as planned evenings,
    • Missions will run on Wed evenings, start times will be 19:30 (UK time). There is an expectation that that you will have joined by 19:45, which is when the briefing will begin,
    • There are a small number of Mods that are regularly used within missions. There are links to those within the "required mods" text channel. You'll need to download and install these to be able to join some squadron missions,
    • If you look in the other text channels, you'll find reference documents that you might find useful.,
    • Please do take a few minutes to confirm the modules that you have, and within those, which are the airframes that you wish to fly.
