Discord and Server Rules
DISCORD RULES
Be Respectful
Play nice. Not much elaboration will be given here.
No Sexually Explicit Content
While this is an 18+ community, keep it classy. Showtime is fine, straight up porn is not.
Keep Conversations to Relevant Channels
If a conversation derails, try and move it to the appropriate room. An admin may either ask that you do so, or give permission to continue depending on the situation. Punishment will almost never be doled out for this alone. We just want to keep the chats organised.
No Spamming/Scamming/Phishing
Immediate and permanent bans will be given for violations of this. The only exceptions will be given to well-known community members who can prove their account was hijacked. This is down to admin discretion.
Keep Politics Surface-Level
This is a combat simulator. War and its causes get brought up from time to time. We aren’t going to punish discussion, but we will punish anyone who gets into a heated argument. Take it to DMs. If a discussion seems like it may veer into that territory, an admin will ask that the conversation comes to an end.
Link Responsibly
Do not link to dangerous websites.
IN-GAME RULES
Be Respectful.
In short, “Don’t be a Dick” is in effect. Be helpful in answering questions if you have the knowledge, be considerate of other players playing on the server, be considerate to, and for, the Administrative staff catering to the environment present. Apologize for accidental TK’s.
All Take-Offs and Landings must be announced in text format in the chat box.
Simple Radio Standalone (SRS) is an outstanding client which is highly recommended not just for the immersive experience, but for the practicality of informing everyone of an incoming landing or outgoing takeoff, use of the chat box is required until such time Eagle Dynamics has VOIP built in. Emergencies are of course exceptions to this rule and as the pilot making the call in voice is likely busy, having another player announce in text is ideal.
Text calls are not required if all present players are in comms together in SRS. Likewise if they are not operating around each other. However, if you cause an incursion Admins can use your lack of text calls as a mark against you.
Taxiway takeoffs are prohibited.
Those discovered will be kicked immediately with no warning. Exception - Runway fouling.
Aircraft not made for Carrier Use with hooks landing on carriers are prohibited.
These are not Carrier-based Aircraft.
Helicopters, provided they exhibit safe operation are allowed to operate on and around Naval assets including the Carrier.
“I was just goofing around” is not an excuse to perform actions against other players on the same side.
Gun strafes, missile shots, bomb hits, too-close formation collisions, and literally anything else not explicitly listed here that a player attempts to use “I was goofing around” as an excuse to justify what results in a ban is not acceptable.
Depending upon the airframe destroyed, a player may have spent upwards of fifteen minutes or more preparing it for flight, only to be destroyed for the hilarity of someone else.
Related - Nukes are a forbidden weapon type for the server. If somehow they are employed, it is an immediately bannable offense. The only exception to this rule is if a specific operation is going to employ them (See briefing for details.)
There are no acrobatics or air shows over runways or other high-traffic regions.
A low boom pass over a Forward Arming and Refueling Point (FARP), loops, turns, twists, aerobatics of any kind is not permitted. This is a combat oriented server, performing these tasks without actively hunting down an enemy who has somehow made it to such a base is not permitted.
The in-game Air Traffic Control is not utilized.
During the rare occasions where PI staff might show up to perform ATC, CGI, or AWACs duty, all of their instructions are to be followed. The In-game ATC is not utilized for any platform, airport, FARP, or region at any time. Callouts for takeoffs and final approach must be made in text, and the F10 Map consulted before proceeding to the Active Runway.
Comms on Main Posted SRS Channels should be kept brief, clear, and concise.
On all posted SRS Frequencies (MCOMM, ATC, etc), communication should be:
Clear: Speak at a speed and with microphone settings that allow you to be heard clearly.
Concise: Be brief. Cluttering a primary channel with a stream of consciousness, clever anecdotes, or other unnecessary chatter is highly discouraged. Use of other interflight channels or Discord is acceptable for this kind of other chatter.
Consistent: Standard NATO Brevity Radio Code is utilized, a link is provided below. If you are not familiar with the code, just speak in plain language. The important thing is that everyone understands you, not trying to sound cool.

Where no specific policy exists, what an Admin decides, goes.
Our administrative staff is given the flexibility to respond to the needs of the server at any given time, this includes changing missions, spawning additional aircraft if the mission in play has such functionality, and dealing with specific incidences of player griefing. All such incidents are discussed for consistency, and if a new policy is needed new rules will be added. All players, by virtue of being on the server, agree to play by these rules.
SERVER KICK AND BAN POLICY
Generally speaking, primary violations of any of these policies can result in a kick back to spectators or off the server following a warning from admin staff about the violation in particular. Repeat offenses may, at the dispensation of the staff, result in a ban. Bans are performed not by player name, but by UCID. Clever names with special characters, kanji, or ASCII values are irrelevant to the UCID.
Deliberate offenses (Intentional Team killing) will be investigated with the TacView file and can skip this process to move immediately to a ban.
Players who are banned may attempt to appeal to the administrative staff, in the appropriate discord channel. Final decisions at that time will stand, which can lead to continued enforcement of the ban and removal from the discord server.
