I have similar situation where I have a BS2 license gifted by a lucky draw.

I wanted to try the OP mission but I don't have the Falklands map. I have my own built JTAC/CTLD training missions based on Syria map. Not tried JTAC with the Apache yet tho, still understanding the occasions FMC kills me.

RTFM Seems I fixed my problem I was holding the starter too long, I held the starter until seeing the needle move in error. according to page 29 of the Flight Manual "The start-up of the engine occurs sequentially, with an electric motor starting a gas generator, which, in turn, starts the engine. The starter pushbutton shouldn't be pressed for more than 2 seconds to avoid damaging the electric starter and should never be pushed when the engine is turning, at the risk of destroying the starter system."

Funny I'm having the same problem. At cold start bring RPM to 2900 then go cutoff. Set throttle to idle, 2nd time to ignite starter will fail to work (it will move a bit then 0, further times no movements). Configuration: All fuel/pumps levers are open, Batt/Alt1/Alt2/Inverter are set Up/Auto. Notices the TR reset button doesn't function.
