is the EGT still modeled?
I see Uh-1 clients in MP flying with crazy speeds.
Not sure about EGT, but the new FM is unfortunately out of reality regarding maximum flight speed.

Finished today. Not bad at all. Thanks a lot.

The "Communication menu" in the Radio Communications category is available only on the ground while the "Pilot's radio trigger RADIO" in the Cyclic Stick category is available all the time for me.

Hello there,
5500+ hours in "real life" currently flying the 407 Winter and 212 summer. So pretty close to Huey and upcomming OH58. The only time you have "force feedback" is when you turn the hydraulics off, or push against the activated force trim in the 212. So like Evel Bert was saying, no self centering and very easy to move at least for the cyclic. In dcs I have an extension + weakest spring on my Gunfighter which is a pretty satisfying feel for me.
So other then in smaller models without hydraulics you dont feel much other then some correlation between cylic and collective. Or some self centering on the anti torque pedals (unless also hydraulicly boosted).
Just to give you an idea about real life:
So if I let the cyclic go it would fall with gravity in the direction its being displaced unless enough friction is applied to prevent that.
Now that I talk about it, the 212 not sure about the huey or if its modelled in DCS has a stabilizer bar on top of the rotorhead and you can certainly feel that on your cyclic inputs. Quite some lag and some travel for certain changes.
407 instead because of its semi rigid rotorhead the cyclic is super "touchy" and responsive.
Collective instead would travel with your cyclic or certain manouvers, but I fly with a ton of friction on it, so if I dont move it it doesnt move... the only thing you feel there is the resitance of your applied friction...
Maybe worth mentioning... I stopped using trim with DCS Helicopters, because in reality you would trim your cyclic which means it will hold its postion or gets displaced with the trim movement.
That would be the only meaningful application here for "force feedback" I can imagine.
Hopefully that was not too confusing.
Happy flying...
What stick are you using for DCS? I removed the main spring in my TM Warthog stick. Very good.

Gonzolo, please, do not behave to our beloved Huey like this. It is strictly forbidden and it may happen this module will be permanently disabled for you.

Hello,
I wanted to start a new thread but wondering if I could just continue on from this one.
I have recently start using the LaserWing FFB Stick. It goes really good, however I am having some issues with the Huey trim system.
I have set the stick to provide some centering force (not a lot) as I understand this is how the real Huey works. When I push the trim button on the cyclic the stick goes into dead mode as it should. If I then hold the cyclic forward so the Huey is in a cruise attitude and release the trimmer button, the stick over compensates and wants to move forward a little further than where I have it. It's almost like its reading how far I've moved the stick from center and then applying that to the new position. So if you have trimmed the cyclic forward it uses that value from center and applies it again to the new position that exagerates it even more. If I hold the stick slightly forward and keep pressing the trim button it wants to move the stick further and further forward.
Is anyone else having similar issues with their FFB stick/s, regardless of brand?
Are you sure the cyclic stick provides any centering force? I thought it doesn't.

I 3D printed a 40cm and run stock spring.
Works great

Nice job. Did you try to run it without it like in rl?

Hi, I am using TM Warthog stick with 12 cm extension. https://mfg-sim.com/warthog-extensions/
I also removed the main spring and I am very satisfied with it. https://youtu.be/aBMBR8M0z2E?si=ljPPiwHDnyjZ9sc3
This is my Virpil Collective base: https://virpil-controls.eu/vpc-rotor-tcs-plus-base.html
And Virpil Collective Grip: https://virpil-controls.eu/vpc-hawk-60-collective-grip.html
Not an economic option, I admit.

No way, please. UH-1H forever. No modern stuff or only as a choice.

Hello, I finished the second mission today and I didn't get F6 option while landed between the trucks. The troop embarked automatically after some time even I was still able too see him outside.
-
Hello, yesterday I finished the first mission. As I am not a sling load expert it took me three attemps before I didn't break the ammo crate while unhooking. After I landed I didn't get any confirmation the mission is finished so I had to pray it was finished when manually quitting. It was, uff.
It is also very uncomfortable to struggling with the unloading when the smoke is all around and you can't see almost anything. Would it be possible to switch the smoke off when the heli is close enough?
Thanks.

I have tried changing this line but I keep getting a message that I don't have permission to change this file when I try and save it. How do I go about changing the permissions? I am Admin on my computer.
This is my last hope before giving up on the Huey until this issue has been resolved.
Works for me.

What exactly do you mean? It seems perfect for me.

Guys, can you please use English as this is a English forum, please?

besides the cyclic 100% forward, are you also trimmed forward stick?
Also what speed are you flying at? I haven't had mast bump yet but I'm only flying about 140mph which is slightly below the max speed. Wondering how far above the max speed would cause mast bump.
Personally the biggest problem of the new flight model for me is the massive fuel consumption
Hi, as far as I know, 140 mph is absolutely out of reality. Real max speed is somewhere about 110 but common speed is about 90, sometimes 100.

Well looks like I need to replace my X52 pro if I want to set up any programs. So far it's been a real challenge without being able to see anyone else's example. All the examples are other types of Hotas.
Suggestions on which one to get within $500.00. I have rudder pedals so no need to replace those.
Virpil collective base + some grip. Apache one can come later. I have tm warthog hotas but now I would prefer Virpil base + extension + some stick. Expensive but heart breaking.

Sounds good. Tomorrow I am going to Southern Germany for a real Huey flight. Unfortunately as a passenger only. Will share some pics/vid hopefully.

Server will go live tonight at 10pm eastern for some Huey action, be it racing or Helo Wars.
There are only 16 slots available for FUN.
10 pm eastern is 4am for me. For how long it will be available?

It feels like its using waaay more than it used to, which after reading the above linked discussion (thanks for posting) appears to be some kind of error or bug. I mean, with the price of av gas these days....come on man!
Where can I pay for the gas consumed in DCS, please?

EXTREME FUEL CONSUMPTION !!!
THE UH-1 currently consumes twice as much fuel as usual. In the missions, you can refuel at any FOB or CHECKPOINT. This should make it possible to complete all missions. In mission 7, you can refuel on the warships or the oil rig.
CONSOMMATION DE CARBURANT EXTRÊME ! !!
It's "only" for Open Beta, Stable would be ok, if anyone is using it.

I tried to get 10k meters above the sea level.
