  1. have the tone working now through adjusting volume levels, which is odd, cause it was a little abitrary. now notice missiles fail more often then not regardless if lock is kept on target or not.
  2. same here. no tone online or in single player. set up a quick test case with a circling mi-26, once i'm close enough with the target in the reticle they fire fine. just no interrupted tone, or lock tone.
  3. If you guys figure out the nvg issues with dual mon, please update!!
  4. tolgamat is totally on to a fix, I just can't wrap my head around it atm. I'm using a 1920x1080 with the camera, and a 1280x1024 to the right showing shkval and abris So: Camera x=0 y=0 - 1920x1080 skvall x=1920 y=242 - 800x600 abris x=2720 y=214 - 480x640 Other than labels collecting on the left edge of the 1280x1024, it works great until nvg is employed. So i think what tolgamat is saying is that because my total screen resolution width is 3200 in options, and NVG has nothing else telling it what size to render at, it will always use the max width found in options.lua. This being said, a variable must be added to instruct NVG to conform to a specif resolution rather than being lazy and using the default. I just started playing BS again yesterday, and it literally took the entire day to get it set up (= which is half the fun; multi-display configuration setup, keyboard and joystick layout, head-bob disabled, skins 3rd party textures and campaigns installed, and this the last thing on the list. Is there a way to maybe put something else inside the virtual space to squish the monitor back to a appropriate resolution? I've noticed some people have different backdrops than I do on the second screen under their abris/shkval. Can this be used as padding? Edit for additional content.. Is there a list of viewports kicking around? I've tried adding an NVG entry to my shvak+camera+abris.lua file, copying the settings for Center=, and the display option still shows up in the options menu, meaning it will work, but the variable NVG is obviously meaning less. e.i. _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('Shkval+Camera+ABRIS'); Description = 'Shkval on the left monitor,ABRIS on the right and camera on the center'; Viewports = { Center = { x =0; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1080; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1.7777777777778; } } Shkval = { x =1920; y = 242; width = 800; height = 600; } ABRIS = { x = 2720; y = 214; width = 480; height = 640; } NVG= { x =0; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1080; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1.7777777777778; } I'm just grasping at straws here, but it has to have something to do with the overlays. I've also noticed that until I use NVG the loading screen is present as a back drop, once nvg is used, whatever was present behind the shkval and abris when the nvg is shut off, stays there, which leads me to believe the graphics layer is unrelated to the shkval+camera+abris.lua file but has some kind of relationship with the load screen, as in they are used similarly. edit: Also worth noting, it does not affect any other F-key view, be it your external, vehicles, boats, etc, but the map is affected, and does the same thing as the loading splash screen. Any ideas?
  5. So I have lomac DVD part rev no 117 (arrived couple weeks ago) purchased from lockon.co.uk Flaming Cliffs DVD ver 1.1 (arrived couple weeks ago) purchased from lockon.co.uk LOCK ON 1.1b: Flaming Cliffs (Download version) purchased from lockon.co.uk (totally redundant back up copy?) I also downloaded and installed the 1.12b patch with out any trouble. The really funny thing for me is to go back to the site today and find it totally cleaned up so there's no way someone else can make that mistake. I'm pretty dumb, but it was pretty confusing. To any admins out there; If I can verify all of this, is there any chance of apply the cash toward 2.0?
  6. Sorry, I've been working pretty steadily since I posted so I haven't had a chance to check back here. The information in my post above is copied and pasted from the lockon.co.uk site after I log into my account and go to the downloads page. I purchased the DVD off of the same website, which is version 1.1b, and was looking for the latest patch. I saw 1.1b and assumed they were charging for the patch for revenue when it asked me to purchase it. Had I scrolled down maybe and inch or two more I would have seen the patch, and not wasted the cash on a digital version of the game.
  7. nope, I installed the 1.12b patch right over top of the newly installed 1.1 from the dvd that arrived yesterday. Awe crap. Is it possible the 1.12b is a complete version of the game, and I just purchased it? Meaning I thought is was an update but is in fact a full digital version of the game? So I've purchased it twice, and thereby disqualifying myself as being intelligent enough to be safely allowed to own it in the first place. What I bought - LOCK ON 1.1b: Flaming Cliffs The unofficial add-on for LOCK ON 1.1b: Flaming Cliffs is available for download! Price: free All I needed - Patch 1.12b for "LockOn 1.1: Flaming Cliffs" simulator This patch can be installed over Lock On 1.1, Lock On 1.11 or Lock On 1.12. Patch version 1.12b includes fixes of various bugs found in the previous version of the game, as well as numerous improvements to it, such as: Wow. My bad for not researching it, but it is a little misleading. I wonder if the kind sales folk would hold the amount in escrow towards FC 2.0? I didn't even download the 1.1b I paid for an am not using the serial for it. I guess I could sell the serial somehow. Man I'm dumb...
  8. And found the FC patch 1.12b for free underneath 1.1b upon going to download it? Does this means the 14.95 for 1.1b is little more than a donation? On a positive note, everything arrived over the last couple of days!
  9. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F-15_Strike_Eagle_%28video_game%29 Ah, OK. I don't know why I was thinking along the line of media features. Silly considering the naming trend from 2000 on I guess. Nice! A whopping 7.16 MHz Processor! Did you have any sweet games for it? My folks still have an Apple IIe, it was the model with the dual 5.25 floppy drives. I remember opening up the hood to disconnect speaker so I could play F-15 Strike Eagle late at night. Those were some cutting edge graphics. =)
  10. Totally, yeah thank you for the reminder. Indirectly that's how I lost my last system. When I installed the OS on 500G raid 0, xp choose this 6 year old, 40G storage drive to stick the boot partition onto. So when the 40G drive flopped the xp could no longer boot.
  11. I'm kind of an AMD guy, so I don't mind the sapphire, but I get drawn in easily by anything shiny.... I went in today and basically had them build the store model as listed above, the only change is instead of a 1T SATA, I asked them to do two 500G in raid 0. It didn't even occur to me that I'd need a new OS, I went with the cheapest. Window 7 Premium? I assume there's no major fundamental difference between premium, pro and Ultimate? I use OSX for all of my video / system needs, so I guess I'll just be missing out on some media based perks?
  12. Interesting thought. But if your applying thermal past, you may as well be responsible for every last bolt. This store is pretty cool, I wouldn't put it past them to have a zalman or something under the hood.
  13. I received an email today confirming my order and the website's been updated with my order info. Thanks again for all your help!
  14. Due to a hardware failure on my last PC I've been using my macbook almost exclusively (I work online) for the last two years or so. Having ordered Blackshark and Lomac/ I need to buy a PC. Thing is; the last system I build was a Barton 2500, so I'm a little out of touch with current platforms. I'm used to building my own systems from scratch, but I just don't have the time this time around. This is a package a local store has. AMD Phenom II x 4 Quad Core 955 3.2 GHZ Asus M4A77D Motherboard 4 G 800MHz DDR2 Radeon HD5750 1GB PCI-E Any specific components you don't like? Something you'd do different? Thanks for your opinion.
  15. OK, thank you very much for the support. Greatly appreciated.
