I have installed some VSN mods and they do not show in Special options. I am trying to change cockpit to new mod clean cockpit and can't do it without Special area. I'm suspecting that DCS blocks freeware but I my be wrong in my assumption. And apologize for any mistakes I make to the wonderful people who created and maintain DCS!!

Hi Maximov, Sorry but it had same results. I read something about resolving this issue by changing to Stand alone. What is that and how do I do it? Thanks for responding so quickly!!!

I know there is a lot of activity regarding updates. I have tried every suggestion for fixing the update problem to no avail. When I run update I receive message the version number 2.56... is up to date and then open beta opens. My question is "Why does the 2.7 download load 2.56 in the first place. Shouldn't it download 2.77 like it says in the splash screen? If anyone out there in nerd land can help it would be appreciated. PS: This is my first time posting on the forums and if I broke any rules or didn't follow protocol I'm sorry and apologize in advance! BilC

Hi Danny, I ran your suggestion and after the operation completed I tried to update openbeta again and got the message version 2.56..... is up to date, then the program started to open? I've had this for a few days now and getting a little frustrated. We need someone to rewrite the updater application file I think! BilC
