  1. Thanks for the replies. I had worried that the 9900 might need a new MB also. It seems the 5600 has the best single core speeds but reviews vary. I have the 8600k OC'd to 4.7 and its doing  pretty decent job but I'm always looking to improve the experience. I do have 32gb of 3200 ram so I dont think thats an issue. Might just wait and see.

  2. has anyone else experienced multiple pitot/static icing problems on the Dora?

I was on the storm of war server yesterday and was climbing up to the bombers and my airspeed kept climbing. I was indicating 600kph at 8000m. After I descended it cleared. Next sortie the same thing. All my CB's were in before you ask. Seems to happen a lot on the dora which seems ridiculous for a bomber interceptor!

  3. I like many have spent what I consider a lot of money on WWII aircraft, maps and modules recently. I love the game but the bugs that seem to be dating back months or years in WWii planes are not being fixed. All the effort is going it seems to modern era.

Like myself it seems on the WWII servers more of the players are older than the modern guys. This means we don't normally complain on forums etc, that doesn't mean we are not pissed off. We talk with our feet. These guys won't complain, they will just leave or stop buying dodgy modules. If the squeaky wheel gets the oil, then you are ignoring the quiet wheel that is going to collapse!

There are so many bugs on the wwii forums most of which aren't even marked as reported. For crying out loud, answering the bug questions on the forum would be a tiny step.

  4. My existing specs didn’t deliver a good experience with the Reverb, so I’d suggest waiting for the 3080 Ti.

Ok, thats concerning. If I can get 40-60 fps at medium to high settings I would be satisfied. Were you able to achieve this?

  5. It would be nice if they followed a fixed timeline and start say at the battle of britain. I'd be all for Spit mk I/II and hurricane VS Bf109 E2/4. Then they could work from there. They already have a channel map( which would need altering of course for the time period) my 2C's worth

  6. Yeah I'm talking about the 88mil flak, and maybe to an extent 40mil, it seems keeps firing at you and tracking you even when you are at treetop level and there is no line of sight. I'm pretty sure in the classic flak defense video from WWII they say heavy flak is not effective below 4000ft so it would probably be helpful to set a minimum engagement altitude for larger caliber guns.

Exactly. And it would seem to be a very easy fix. The line of sight would be quite hard to fix but the 4000ft minimum fuse distance would be a few lines of code i'd imagine. IRL it also takes time to change the fuse range on a shell so large changes in altitude or distance to the flak should keep you safe but as we all know it doesn't in game.

  7. It's my understanding from research that the minimum fuse range for AAA was about 4000ft. So why in game do you get flaked while flying at treetop level or shot by flak at near point blank while staffing batteries?

Apart from that, the shell fuse has to be adjusted manually before being loaded which means it would be a miracle to have the fuse set to the right range for an aircraft at low level due to the the high relative velocity.

This would seem to be an easy fix, especially on the minimum range problem. A pilot should be rewarded for taking the risk of flying low.

Sorry if this has been raised before
