  1. I have only just discovered those, not sure if I can or will use them. Ultimately I am hoping to create a service which will act as a data server to various other applications. If that means I have to do it all manually then so be it. I am not adverse to digging into the guts of the system.
  2. Hello, Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I am trying to find information on how to read real time data from the game. By that I mean can I read things like gauge position, CDU output, etc. from some kind of network interface, or shared memory access? Is there documentation available for this? I have been using the Googles and while I get close to what I want, a lot of solutions seem to rely on software that is already available but doesn't necessarily work the way I want. I was hoping to extract the data for my own nefarious purposes. If anyone can tell me where to look it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  3. Same thing happened to me recently, I created a quick mission and after 10 - 15 seconds of gameplay everything shut down. It is fairly repeatable now so either I am doing something wrong or it's a bug. I will get a track file and post it when I have time.
  4. 159th_Viper, you were right. Due to a comedy of errors I thought I had the bombing reticle set as the SPI but I really didn't. I flew around a lot and figured it out and now I know how to set the position I want to drop everything on. One more system down, so many more to go! Thanks for your help everyone, I'm off to learn countermeasures next.
  5. My track file is just over the size limit, how do I make a smaller one?
  6. Thanks for the replies, I haven't had time to play today but I will tomorrow. I'll post the track file for you all to see. Basically I can get the long line, the ASL in the circle easily but the PBRL (thanks for the terms BlueRidgeDx) stays off to the side. I can get it close to the other line but never right over top and if I do align them perfectly then they are both off to one side. Anyhow, I'll post that track file tomorrow and someone can point out my (probably very obvious) mistake.
  7. Ok got it, the distance may be my problem. I will give that a try, thanks!
  8. Hi, I am just learning this game and reading all I can about it. I've convinced 2 people to get it already and we just had our first network session. Loving it! One question, we are trying to figure out bombing with non laser guided bombs and one thing i can't figure out (forgive my lack of technical terms, I'm learning). I set the bombs for CCRP mode and get them lined up, the longest line is where it should be in that little dotted circle at the top of the HUD. However, the other line with the retical sits on the far side of the HUD. If I try to line them up they are way off to the side, and I can't seem to make them meet in the middle. What am i doing wrong?? Thanks!
  9. TrackIR and pedals are the next things on my list. I have the TM MFD panels in the mail right now as well. Next stop, a DIY cockpit.
  10. Will do, thanks!
  11. Hi, I recently purchased both the DCS Warthog game and a TM Warthog stick. Loved Black Shark, and I'm loving the new game. Anyhow, I have gotten used to the default controls in the game but I want to change just one small thing. Basically, pressing UP on the MIC switch. I want to slave it to my TeamSpeak button of CapsLock but when I try it resets both the throttle and stick so I can't use it in the game without experiencing a fiery death. So my basic question is, can I remap that one function alone or do I have to use an already existing profile and modify that? Thanks!
  12. Yes, it's the keys I am most interested in unless there is a way to do that? Or even with a joystick button perhaps? I don't like using the mouse to hunt out every single switch and then press it.
  13. Hi, the cockpit looks great! I am curious though having never done anything like this before but really wanting to. How do the 3 position switches work? Or even the positioned dials (non potentiometer ones)? In the game I can never do something like middle, down, middle, down, it always goes through all the positions in a sequence. Does the USB hardware you use allow you to get around this sequence? Thanks!
  14. Hi all, I got this game a few days ago and I'm still trying to figure it out. Fortunately for me that's half the fun! I've already gotten two friends to buy it and we're going to hook up soon for some multi player fun. Fortunately for me, one of my friends is an aeronautical engineer so when we have questions about what to do and why he knows the answer off the top of his head. A real great resource for learning to fly in this game. One thing I would like to see but I doubt it would be added, is the concept of a next/back button combination for three position or greater switches, as well as the non-potentiometer dials. This is causing me come concern with my project as I'm making a small pcb with a PIC so I can make the PC think it's a keyboard, and then I hook switches and buttons into it to issue keyboard commands. In short it's a piece of hardware I can use to make a cockpit at home. But no matter what it seems I always have to follow the sequence of movements in the game that all the controls make, it's kinda frustrating. Anyhow, great game! I look forward to the A-10 product as well.
