  1. Hi @f4l0, a quick question regarding SSA, and sorry if it has been asked before, I did not read through all 120+ pages... at least the "search" functionality did not return any result: For local/custom add-on aircraft located in <username>\Saved Games\DCS\Mods or<username>\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods, SSA (still using the latest stable release, i.e. 2.1.0) seems to detect them properly, but always tags them as "invalid" and hence will neither create force output for them, nor create a profile copy from the generic entries. Here's an example from the SSA log output: 16:47:45.263 New AirFrame: MyTestPlane 16:47:45.273 Invalid or not supported aircraft! Is this intentional? I.e. is there no way to have these custom/local aircraft treated as "Generic Jet/Piston Engine/Helicopter"? Thanks!
  2. Yes, replacing the whole file works for sure, but that is exactly what I wanted to avoid. Think about e.g. multiple mods that like to modify the same file. They would overwrite each other if they just replace the file as a whole. Hence the "let's change the necessary values within the .lua files only" approach. Understood. I just wanted to point out THAT the file is indeed changed, even though the key/value mod itself did not work. So... did I get this right? Even if all mods would only change individual key/value lines in the cfg file (no replacing of a whole file), the uninstall would always restore the backup file? Instead of rolling back the individual key/value changes only? Hmm... that's unfortunate. Thanks a lot, I'm looking forward to the answer! At least in the changenotes, it states that CFG and LUA files can be changed alike. Cheers and Happy Easter! Dunc.
  3. Skypat, is the ".CFG" changing functionality supposed to work with the FC2 ".lua" files? For testing, I wanted to create a mod that changes the "Config\View\View.lua" file in that way that the entry... head_roll_shaking = true ...is changed to... head_roll_shaking = false ...so that there is no need to completely exchange the "View.lua" file. However, regardless if I try changing the value or deleting an recreating the whole key, it does not seem to work. I see that the file date is touched, but the contents of the file never change. And a second question: is it possible to create mod files which *only* contain configuration changes (which are created with the ".cfg" or ".misc" buttons)? It looks like we *have* to add some files, otherwise Modman does not see the mod at all. Thanks! Dunc.
  4. Thanks for the info! And cheers to the testers!
  5. Hi gents, at least the English download version of FC2 does not feature any training tracks (although there are recorded missions available online at http://lockon.co.uk/index.php?end_pos=1852&scr=default) However, I noticed the "download" link below the empty track list. Although it is currently pointing to the link mentioned above, the question remains... Will there be any FC2 training tracks available for replay within the sim? Same question for the demo tracks, currently there seem to be only two SU25 tracks. I know that this stuff is not needed in theory, as we all have the default LockOn tracks available and FC2 is installed side by side to the old LockOn. Nevertheless, I would have loved to see the training tracks "natively" in FC2. Thanks! Dunc.
