  1. Oh yes! Would be awesome, like many others here, built a model one many years ago.
  2. Art-J You are a star! thankyou! I followed your advice above and my cockpit gages are now readable. I would have tried reinstalling the module sooner, but I did not understand that the deactivate/re activate thing would not lose me activations. Thanks for all the good advice.
  3. Thanks Art-J Tried your suggestion, so now I am on Nvidia 368.81 Sorry to say, I still have the unreadable gauges! Very frustrating! Has anyone else installed the Border campaign? It can't be just be me? The gauge problem only appeared after the last patch and the border campaign install, nothing else changed! I am really not keen on a complete clean install, aside from losing some activations, there is all the setting up of control profiles for every module! I have done the whole clean install in the part, but is a royal PITA! DEVS?? Surely this issue points to a specific file or setting that can be fixed?
  4. Yes I tried reducing it. I normally have it set 1024 every frame. But the thing is, I ran the taxi/take-off tutorial fine a couple of times. Then the latest update installed. Next time I try the tutorial, the gauges are unreadable, I noticed straight away, because it is now very difficult to set the trim as instructed. The only thing that had happened was that the update installed, and (possibly the Border campaign for MI-8 installed) I am not someone who spends time tinkering with the settings, once I am happy I prefer to be flying!
  5. No language selection for Spitfire, but the Mig 15 you can choose Russian or Chinese. Also Mi-8 I have selected a cockpit with English instrumentation. So I am the only person to suffer the unreadable gauges.... Any idea what file this could be related to? I am starting to think that maybe the Mi-8 campaign overwrote something when it installed.
  6. Razo-R No Mods...... unless you class the optional cockpit langauges that can be selected in the options menu as mods?
  7. Thanks Schwarzfeld He does not use mods and he has not been messing with things in any of the DCS folders. The update is the only thing that has changed, although He did install the new Mi-8 campaign a couple of days ago. Is it possible the campaign has changed something that affects the gauge display?
  8. Thanks Art-J Tried that, no difference, gauges are still unreadable. It definitely happened after the last auto update, something changed but what?
  9. Hi After patch to 1.5.5.60565 the marking and needles on some of the gauges have become very faint. The trim indicator in particular is unreadable. I have attached a screenshot. I am running Windows10 and the latest drivers on a Nvidia GTX 780
  10. +1 It is impressive that we are getting environment reflections! Moch too strong though. I hope they tone it down.
  11. Andqui: Yes last lime I did it in 1.5 It sounds like you may be flying too far and landing at the FARP Lenigoria? The farmhouse where you should land is a few km south of the FARP. You should see it as you turn north to follow the river after the long Easterly flight from your first drop off.
  12. Keep trying, it is worth the effort. I too was stuck on mission one for ages. After the upgrade to 1.5 I had to start again, and have had no problems so far. Make sure you are landing close enough to the farmstead. I have landed to the South (1.5) and the North (1.2) and got the trigger both times. Are you sure you are close enough? Collective to zero?
  13. Good advice from all many thanks! I finally made it through the first mission. I can see now that I had been seriously underestimating the distances between waypoints. I blew my first attempt, I was so excited to find the farmstead, that I VRSed straight in! Luckily the soft river bank reduced the impact, so we were able to walk away from the wreckage :) I have started to use the doppler navigation system now. The distance function really helps me to keep track of where I am and where to turn for next waypoint
  14. Ah Hah! That all makes sense to me. I was sure I was meant to land at Gromi, but I have clearly misunderstood. I will give it a go in a bit. Thanks for all the helpful replies people
