  1. Good night aap_flanker, All of this choices you talk about, are they working in LockOn V1.02? I've tried LOPE, in order to put Kh29T under SU27/33 and MIG29S, but the MFD inside the cockpit doesn't display any image as Mavericks in A10A. Thanks a lot, you're helping me in this dream. :)

  3. Wonderfull, Crunch!! but I think you got it in LockOn Flamming Cliffs2, snif. I only got LockOn V1.02, snif... I don't know if there is some "touch" that could be done to get that lovely imaging on the MFD with Kh29Tv missile...

Hello my friends of flights: I was thinking of the way to mod something in LockOn V1.02 to be able to use IR and TV seekers weapons in russian jets such as SU27/33 and MiG29S... just to see something in the MFD inside the cockpit, but I've tried so many things that in the end I don't know how to get it. If you have any idea...:) Kinda regards, friends.
  5. Hello friends, Gupyzer0 is right about SU27 dropping bombs, :) In fact SU27S is able to drop free fall bombs and rockets in the real world. SU27SK is also able, and SU27SKM (at least SKM I) is able too. Not only that, these two versions SK and SKM I are able to fire some precision A-G weapons. You can see it in www.milavia.net. I've got LockOn V1.02 installed since a lot and I've managed to edit MEinit.xml file to give SU27 (and 33 also) these A-G capabilities, so that the version of SU27 that I've got in the game is "updated" up to SK or SKM I variants, that means that I have the SU27 with capabilities to fire A-G laser missiles, anti-radar missiles, and of course, free fall bombs, rockets and guns. The only thing I could not get is about IR and TV A-G missiles neither anti-ship missiles (this last type I got it available in SU33 only). And in the other end, Boberro is also right about MER/TER racks, because I also managed to give SU27 racks capabilities, and it is true, they cannot drop a single bomb, if you drop them you drop them alltogether at the same time when you press the fire button down. The only problem I've found with MER/TER racks in SU27/33 and also in MIG 29S, is that you can select them in the mission editor with their proper names, but when in flight, if you select one of them, then in the lower left corner of the HUD, the names are changed. Only that. But it's wonderfull having SU27/33 and MiG29S updated in the game up to a more recent variant as in real world. I love this sim, and also strike missions. :) Kind regards my friends, Here spring has come again

  7. Thinking about this MFD in russian cockpits in V1.02... I would really be more than great that fantastic people in ED implemented a working MFD with TV and antiship missiles for Mig29S, SU27 and SU33...I wish they could...:cry:

I've got a question as usually, - Is it possible to make the mouse active inside the cockpits? if so, is it possible to click with the mouse on any switch or button inside the cockpit?   11. Hello everyone here, friends: I've got LockOn v1.02 installed since a lot. I've managed to edit Meinit.xml file to add antiship missile Kh-31A, to MiG29S and SU 27. The problem I've found with this, is that when you press down 7 key to enter in A-G mode, and select this type of missile, then if you press i key to activate radar on the MFD, then the image in the MFD is not appearing, it looks like if it was glass broken. The signs to move the target designator work well (you can move them up, down, left and right), but because there is no image on the MFD you can not block the target for the missile to point at. Do you know somehow how to bring the image on the MFD, when in this situation? The problem is the same with those Kh29T missiles, which are TV guided. Thanks a lot in advance. Kind regards.

  13. Thanks for answering, I supose that AI flight model of Mig 29 K is welll implemented in the game, anyway... is it enough just modifying the "human" parameter to "yes"? or any other changes are needed in Meinit.xml file? Thanks a lot, Kindly regards.

  15. Thanks a lot Taipan!! Wonderfull, now I can get a bit more situational awarness and manage my wingmen! Normally, I use these radio communications after taking off, to call AWACS and get tactical informations; afterwards when looking for the Tanker in order to refuelling, and finally for calling Tower to find out the nearest available base for landing. Thanks a lot again, It's wonderfull this sim, and all it offers about air workingload. :)))

This time I've got a question in V1.02::book: When flying in Russian Jets, if you call the Tower or AWACS asking them where is the tanker, or homeplate, or where the bandits are, you receive a radio message similar to this: "...bearing 328 for 128 at 2000...and more...". Does anyone here know what's the meaning of this exactly?:pilotfly: Whenever I receive this kind of radio message I don't know whether I have to go somewhere, or climb, or dive or what...please, only a little help, friends. :helpsmilie: Thanks a lot in advance
  17. Hello Chrischn89, good night. My OS installed is Windows XP home, so I think that if you got the same problem as me, then it is not depending on the OS we have installed. The fact is that it works a couple of times, I mean flying with Scenes set up to medium, and these couple of times you can press ESC key and say Exit, and you can again start and go out to fly, but I don't know the reason why it does not work more than a couple of times. ?? I don't know about LockOn Platinum, I supose it might have other issues. I will keep on taking the most from Lo V1.02, because I manage to get Su 27/33 and MiG 29 with AG capabilities, you know, antiradar missiles, laser missiles, bombs, rockets... Anyway, if you have any idea, it will be welcomed. Thanks a lot folk!
  18. :(Hello everyone here again, friends. I've got LO V1.02 installed. Everything goes ok. The problem is when from inside "Options\Graphics", I click on Low button, and change "Scenes" from "Low" to "Medium". With this option, flying is very nice, because trees, and buildings can be seen when altitude is very low. Everything is ok up to here, because when I press "ESC" key on the keyboard, and select "Exit" option, then the screen becomes black, and the only thing that is visible is the white arrow mouse cursor. In this point, the only work-around suitable is restarting the PC. Does anyone knows if there is a parameter in the sim that could fix this problem? Thanks a lot in advance.
  19. Hello, goodmorning everyone here. First of all, Happy Neww 2011 to all of you. Have you already done the New Year Resolutions List? Here, we're waiting for the 3 Magic Kings to come, with gifts and surprises, so may you be lucky! Ok, about IR incoming missiles, as I mentioned at the beginning of this interesting thread, in V1.02 installed, I kept in mind all of your ideas on how to avoid being smashed by these birds. In Mission Editor I designed several missions involving this kind of incoming missiles, and always flying russian jets (SU27/33 and MIG29) and here are the tested results so far: - As some of you mentioned above, decreasing rpm, taking out afterburner is a very good idea in this version of LockOn. When done, you can see, from inside the cockpit, the temperature in ºC coming down, in the relevant indicator (it takes some instants). - This temperature decreasing, combined with a hard turning, with no flares, often works properly against incoming IR missiles. Above all, if missile is coming in from behind you. If missile is coming in from a side or from ahead, then flares are mandatory needed, not only reducing rpm and turning hard. As some of you mentioned, a flare every 2 seconds usually works properly. - The best thing as you all mentioned is to spot the initial launch, in order to know from where the missile is comming, but this is very difficult to do, because in russian jets no warning (light or sound) is telling you about in that instant. And worse, when several possible launchers (airborne or grounded) are all around you, you cannot kwow who is the one that shoot at you the IR missile. The only thing that seems to work when I tested, is check the SPO 15 from inside the cockpit, and check that you are completely locked, check in which direction, and finally check that primary threat is airborne but its radiation force is not increasing (the yellow ligts circle is not growing up which means that is not a radar homing missile). Of course, when a radar and an IR missiles are coming together, I cannot distinguish them. So that's all so far, if any of you have tested and has new ideas, they are all welcomed. I've got installed lockon v1.02 from long ago, and I always have the same question when flying russian jets: How to detect incoming IR missiles with the SPO 15 Beryoza RWS? if not possible to detect them with this device in the cockpit, how to do it, and avoid being smashed by this kind of "birds"? looking forward for your answers, kind regards.:book:
  22. Hello again to everyone, here. I've managed to edit again the Meinit.xml file to add SU 27/33 and MIG 29S AG guided and unguided weapons. It works very well. Now I can use AG laser missiles such as Kh 29L, Kh 25ML; Antiradiation missiles such as Kh 31P and Kh 25MP. Also I can load all types of unguided bombs and rockets. BUT, the only question that left to me is about MER/TER racks. When I use one of these with multiple bombs, then in mission editor the names of bombs are displayed ok, BUT when flying, in the HUD, the names are changed. My version of Lockon is V1.02, does anyone here know how to fix this little problem? Thanks in advance.:cry:

But I got a question for you specialist ones: Is it possible to add a pylon to Mig 29 S in Lockon V1.02? if yes, how can I do it? It's a pitty being unable to manage for giving su-27 and su-33 MER raks capability, to get a bit closer to the real thing. I keep on working on that, investigating... i would much apreciate any idea if you had one... Thanks in advance
