  1. I followed the advice to run safe mode using the 'msconfig' - Long story short, this didn't work and some strange Windows 10 bug led me to being unable to log back in (something about the PIN not working and it wasn't giving me the option to log in with my usual password) so I had to run a recovery (thankfully had a snapshot from just 2 days ago). Lo and behold, I am back to running at full GPU/CPU usage & 100FPS+ with the SU-25T start up scenario. Thanks for the help all - I would have liked to have had a more conclusive reason as to why / what caused the issue in the first place but I am not sure I am going to figure that one out, unless the issue sprouts up again in 2 days.
  2. And my dcs log - can't see anything of particular interest in there : dcs.log
  3. Tried running without MSI Afterburner and it didn't seem to make any difference (worth noting I only ran MSI afterburner in the first place after noticing the game under-performing).
  4. Hello all, I am currently experiencing an issue with the game whereby my performance has dropped by ~half over the course of a day for no apparent reason. Worth noting I was previously able to handle 60FPS with my settings in a majority of scenarios (including the ones I tested to compare), whereas today my framerate & overall performance has just plummeted. I have based my tests on the SU-25T start up tutorial, which again I was able to run at a silky smooth 60FPS until not so long ago - now I barely get 30-40FPS and my GPU & CPU usage is extremely low (30% or less) : the CPU usage is 30% across the board with no core going above the 30% mark. I tried switching to the open beta & back, updated my drivers but nothing has helped - worth noting I have not noticed any drop in peformance in any other of my games, DCS is the only application which seems to be affected. My specs are : i7-4790 (~3.6Ghz) RTX 2060 / 6GB 16GB RAM Game installed and running off an SSD See the MSI after burner readings for GPU & CPU usage, as well as the Resource monitor (hopefully the screenshots work). https://ibb.co/rt97gwk https://ibb.co/kx3SmNp
  5. RTX2060 here running with the latest drivers & getting the frame drops (driver version 452.06). Worth noting the performance is pretty stable using an older version as suggested, in my case : 441.87.
  6. Thanks for the reply. "Kh-66 are going to be quite long and the needle range only goes up to 2000m in AG mode so don't think the sight can accommodate anything longer" - Didn't think of it that way. I guess the range information goes up to 5km on the gauge but the launch authorization and break lights might tie into the center range gauge?
  7. Hello all, I have acquired the Mig21bis as my first DCS module and, despite a few minor issues which need ironing out (SAU recovery oscillations and Radar causing frame drops) I am having a blast. I've easily spent about about 10-15 hours just going through and practicing the training / scenarios but there is one training mission and weapon I am curious about : the KH-66 Should the launch authorization and/or abort lights work at all when using the KH-66 Grom weapon? It seems that everytime I run through the training mission, be either in the locked point or beam riding mode, I can aim at the ships and watch the range needle move but the two lights either side of the ASP never turn on when I would expect them to. I can release the weapon as early or late as I want and it will connect but I do not get a visual cue that I am in range to release the weapons (although I do believe I get a continious chime at some point in the dive). Is the authorization light only for bombs? I have read through the module's manual and through a guide I found off the internet but none of them seems to mention if the lights should come on or not. Thanks in advance
