  1. Thanks to all for responding. I managed to solve the problem once for all. It was so easy.. the problem was related with parked cores. I had the QuickCPU utility that told me everytime that all my cores were unparked and running full, but this was false. So I decided to unpark them once for all from the motherboard BIOS directly, and I deactivated all the C-States functions, the Intel Fast Technology of I don't know what, and all the E-Cores (to 0). Now I'm using only performance P-cores, unparked 100% of the time, with equal clock at 4.7ghz. The stutter is virtually gone and no more FPS sudden drops. Lesson learned, never trust the utilities, go to the BIOS. Hope it helps.
  2. Hi, I've just bought a new PC. I installed Steam and then downloaded DCS. When I start the game, Steams says the authorization failed. Please help! error code 500 - Authorization saved not found Thanks Mati
  3. I downloaded Nvidia drivers from Dec 2024 (last version stable for some people in youtube) but no results. I can confirm that the FPS drop starts just right before approaching the runway for landing, and then keeps droping every 10 seconds. Is there any possibility of creating a support ticket in DCS for this? I'm pretty sure this is a game problem, not windows or hardware related. By the way, I'm doing the testings with a single plane (F-16, F-18 and Mig-29) in an empty map (caucasus) with the editor. There are no other objects or entities that could increase the overload in that specific location of the map.
  4. Hi to all, I'm having a similar problem with massive drops of FPS from 60 (I use V-sync) to 10 fps, every 10 seconds (looks like a repeated process that is broken. Is not clear what triggers the issue but after 3 days of full testing (more than 20 hours of gameplay) I noticed that is activated during the landing when the wheels are approaching the runway, and after that, every 10 seconds. It can also happen above in the air, but the circumstances are not clear. Flying low or approaching forest area may trigger the issue (clearly a CPU/GPU overload triggers the problem). The characteristic of this bug is that once it starts, it doesn't stops, making the game unplayable. Also, is impossible to land the aircraft if the FPS drop happens in the same second you are doign touch down. Is really annoying. I can confirm that graphics configuration has nothing to do (I downgraded all the quality options and I still get the same issue). Also the mods have nothing to do as well (I tested with and without them, after clean installation and same results). This issue happens with all demanding aircraft, like official modules F-16, F-18, etc. Because of this I understand that this is a general DCS issue after the latest patch (game was running good during the last 6 months). Regarding core unparking, power management, tac view and all the tips mentioned in this thread, I tested all of them and they did not solve the problem. I'm attaching the log file just in case (you will see errors of textures and models not found, don't pay attention to that, I deleted many objects of Caucasus map on purpose to improve FPS performance of the map. The issue mentioned happens with and without these objects).. dcs.log
  5. thanks for reviewing the log file. Unfortunately I tried with all the pagefile configuration possible. Even with 8 or 10 GB the impact in performance is 0 (the problem remains the same). What I noticed is that when I approach a forest, the GPU usage goes down from 80% to 50%, and that makes the CPU usage go lower as well, but a little less. Maybe from 30% to 25%. So I guess the problem is with the GPU that reduces the power in the moment I need it most.
  6. Hi All, Schumi's problem is the same as mine in another post. Virtual memory, secondary external processes, etc doesn't explain the problem. This is something caused by DCS, something related maybe with the AA or the new modifications introduced in the modules during the last month.
  7. Hi, let me tell you my experience. I had a similar problem and after searching in the internet I learnt that there is a specific function in power energy saving in each USB port (another great stupid idea from Microsoft) that turn them off. If you disable that function the joystick is recognized because the port remains "on" all the time. I'm not saying is your case but is something that happened to me and I wanted to share just in case. I don't remember how to disable it, but is very very easy. Just google something like "power management of USB ports" and you will find it. Regards,
  8. Hi bignewy, No unfortunately I tried this before, with all possible combinations and the problem remains the same. The game runs stable at 60fps all the time and suddenly, when you approach a forest the fps drop automatically to 40 fps. This did not happened at the June release. The proof (i guess) is the fact that the F16 runs smooth like a baby, the same with the Mig-15 and all Flaming Cliff planes. The issue comes with the F-14 and razbam modules. Thanks anyway for the advice. Very appreciate.
  9. No, I don't have an MSI utility. Please find attached the dcs.log file. dcs.log
  10. Hi All, I write this second post asking for help to the devs because I can confirm that the following modules are showing serious fps drops after the last updates (I'm playing the current beta): F-14 MiG-19 MiG-21 F-18 Harrier Mirage-2000 All of the above went from a stable 60 fps to 40 fps when I fly low and turn my head to look at the trees and land objects. I guess it must be related with a bug or something that relates to the new additions into these models (radars, new textures, etc). I never experienced something like this before in those modules. Someone in eagle dynamics must take a look, please! Is very annoying not to be able to play due to an update than I can't reject (I'm on steam). The aircraft below work perfect and without any problems of fps drop (please do not broke them :) Su-27, Mig-29, A10, Su-25, Yak-52, MiG-15, F-16, F-15 Please help. I can't use half of my modules. PD: I tried with differnet drivers, configs, windows tweak, everything. I'm sure is related with the aircraft recently updates.
  11. Hi All, During the last days I noticed that the new beta versions are showing a decrease in FPS from my 60 stable to 40fps when I fly over the big forest in Caucasus (in Georgia, near the sea). This did not happened before and only affects the F14 and some razbam aircraft like MiG-19 and Mirage. I don't know if this is related with the latest beta updates of DCS (the last version where I noticed excellent performance was the big 2.5.6.50321 from 3rd of June) or maybe with the latest drivers of Nvida (452.06) that came with the new Microsfot Flight Sim 2020. Does anyone has the same problem? Is this a bug? It never happened me before, it clearly happens with the F14, where I saw some activity during the last beta updates.
