  1. Thanks, both. It's a shame to hear it's been present for a couple of years. FWIW I've created a batch file that deletes the shaders but there's still a chance when the shaders are first created I get the corrupt smoke. del "C:\Users\[YOUR USER NAME]\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\fxo\*.*" /f /q del "C:\Users\[YOUR USER NAME]\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\metashaders2\*.*" /f /q

Even after deleting the files in \DCS.openbeta\fxo and \metashaders2 and rebooting, I still get a full black (when black-hot) or full white (when white-hot) TGP screen when there's smoke on the ground.   3. Plus one for this idea. The head shake in VR- especially when zoomed- is crazy.
  4. Thanks both- you're right: briefing clock and Hog clock are on different time zones.

The Enemy Within mission 3: "Restoring Hope" tasks you with flying over a landmark at 12:00 but when you spawn in the flight clock has it as 07:11 (and the briefing claims you should be starting at 11:11). Needless to say, I got to the waypoint about 3 hours early! Pre-takeoff I tried using the time acceleration function (to the point where my 5800x CPU was generating one frame every five seconds) but even then it would have taken a long time to wait for an appropriate time to take off. This is using the tank killer, btw. Any solutions, please?
