  1. Jayhawk1971's post in Task 1 - No response when calling ground crew to eject for takeoff was marked as the answer
Turn your exterior lights on when hooked up to the catapult, that is the launch signal at night.
Set the switches on your right console to on prior to taxiing to the catapult (I always switch everything on, bright, flash), but keep exterior lights off via the master lights toggle switch until you are hooked up and ready to go. Once you are ready to launch, use the master toggle to turn lights on. That should initiate the launch sequence.

If you start from cold& dark, you need to boresight your Mavericks. Which in DCS is still a pain in the butt. If you start in the air, the mission loads pre-boresighted, which is why it works in the training missions.
Check YouTube, there are tons of tutorials how to boresight the Mavericks in the Viper.

Cool! Can't wait to find out what it is! 😎
Regarding the issue with the freeze: Slow repair did the trick, mission is loading again as it should. 👍

How long did you wait? "Never" is a very relative term. It's called "Alert 5" for a reason. 😉
I've played this mission 4 times now (probably my favorite out of the Marianas part of the campaign), and I launched every time. Twice with MT. It just takes a couple of minutes from signal to actual launch. After the helicopter takes off, the launch sequence starts.
