  1. Good evening, Sir, Thank you for your assistance in this matter. I wanted to let you know and follow up, but a friend, Mokum , of mine assisted me and we got the Hotas Cougar, and I am pleased to say it's operational again, Foxy works fine, the Throttle and Stick both calibrated fine in the Cougar Control Panel. It was a software issue. As you already know there is a specific process in getting these legacy set ups to work in window 10 PRO, i missed a few of the steps, and my friend was very knowledgeable in the pitfalls. Now I get to look at your tmm/tmj files Thank You for answering my call, Sir, have a wonderful Christmas. JudgeDredd
  2. Thrustmaster Operators, I have a TM Hotas Cougar (1998 era- Not the Warthog set up), I actually have two, one I repaired and the other brand new. Both of the Sticks/Throttles are identified in Windows and are reading "OK". The new one I had been trying to get it to operate with a new set of TMM/TMJ files for the operation in BMS 4.36 and had been working with Mokum on that issue. Problem I'm having, the Hotas Cougar is identified in both Windows 10 PRO & BMS 4.36. When I go into the game and into set up, the Hotas Cougar is listed in there, however when I manipulate both the Throttle & Stick nothing is registering in set up, the thrust meter does not move and the axis dot in the box will not move. What am i doing wrong, has anyone had this issue? JD
  3. I have not taken the throttle apart at all since I purchased them in 1998, is there a clip in there that could be nocked loose of the sensor to cause the "Z" not to read forward and aft ? All the other buttons, hats, register on the analyzer when tested. I know when I calibrate the stick/set up in Hotas, then go into the game the plane goes directly into a barrel roll. Before my desktops Video card died, and was repaired, the stick worked, but I had not weapon control, and the "thrust" was not working correctly. This stick has been babied and set on my office shelve and has never seen adverse scenarios.
  4. "Be sure you have selected the correct Joystick ID (from analyzer top tabs) for testing" Is there a certain ID I am to use Habu_69 ? Sirrah, do you have a file name for this software you suggest ? I went to the site and it appears to be a setup for Racing Simulations.
  5. Sir, I ran this, the "Z" does nothing when the throttle is pushed forward and back, all the other buttons work on the throttle and joystick. I deleted and installed the Hotas drivers 2007_HCO_Vista_64_RC1, did the unplug/plug the USB portion, did the driver in and driver out directions. Then clicked on the Hotas Cougar Control Panel, and got the STTubeDevice203.dll error and did your fix by copying the driver in the Hotas Driver folder and pasted it in the Windows\syswow64 folder and it then opened correctly without and error. I then went into the Hotas Analyzer and the green "target reticle" was initially in the center of the graph, but one the stick was touched it went into the top lefthand corner of the graph and stayed there and the graph lines turned "RED". So boss, not sure what I am doing wrong at his moment, but I am trying to work through it. Thank You very much for your ideas and instruction on this Sir. JD
  6. It appears I am having same problems in calibrating my Hotas Cougar in the HOTAS Cougar Control Panel ver 3.01. When calibrating my throttle when I move the throttle forward and back the numbers never change and the bar never moves. Do you know if these needed to be repaired in the last 15 yrs ? lol, the production number on mine Hotas is #4856 . In BMS the throttle bar is delayed when moved in setup. Am I doing something wrong ?
  7. Hello Warriors of the Virtual World, and yes I am sure some of you are Actual Warriors in the Real World now or in your past, wonderful to meet you all. Been a gamer since 1990, actually been flying sims since 1995/1998 time frame. Started with Janes F15 online in 95'ish and then Falcon 4.0 in 1998'ish. I actually went through that training book in Falcon 4.0 and assisted with my dear friend Netraider, Tomcat, RomeoMike45, Blue, and many others, I attained the Squadron CO position and held that position through the 1 v 1 DogFight Ladders, many training FTO training the new guys, eventually I had to leave the virtual world (New House) and no internet in 2006. I hope to run into my former flyers online again. I met a great, great group of men (Virtual Pilots) from the United States, Canada, Europe, Australia, as we had wings in each country, heck there me some of you on the boards from the unit. They were great people, dedicated, on time, and to the point, and hell I miss them ALL to this day. Deployments in the USMC (Infantry) and subsequent enlistment in Law Enforcement took me away from the gaming world and you fellow warrior, well friends I survived my 35+ yrs and want to get back into the virtual wars with you all. I just got BMS 4.34 installed and actually was able to get the Thrustmaster Hotas Cougar to install in Windows 10 and calibrate correctly with the help of some fine Online Fighter Jockeys in 3 different Online Forums, dam I have missed the camaraderie. I am like a kid in a candy store with how all this works, the TeamSpeak program, the stable communication platforms, the gaming connections, etc. I hope to make friends here, I am a humble person, but wanted you to know me as I want to know you all who fly the sims we love, Semper FI JD
