There are also some egg heads like me who value simulation more than game play comfort so if something is not on the RL HOTAS it's not bound to my HOTAS either. It's fine if it lands on the base buttons though as you still have to take one hand away from the grip. Everything else is mouse and keys.
Mouse on the ground ok, in the air entirely not. Keys are also not a thing due to vr.
Unless its something like rearm/refuel which i have on backspace. Thats easy to find blindly

Corsair approach speed is 90 - 100 KTS IAS with flaps fully down. Do not go over 100 mph because it causes flaps retraction.
For a Carrierlanding? I achieved very stable approaches with flaps 30° an speed around 120-130 kts (indicated of course)
But no matter the technique, overall it's just like back in the old IL2 '46 days. Find a speed you are comfortable with, aim for the deck and land there

As much as i understand to desire a true to real replica think about how you want to map as many buttons to your hotas as possible. Reallife planes tend to important switches somewhere inside the cockpit instead of the hotas. The fulcrum actually has very little hotas capabilities. (And the hornet as well, that one relies heavily on the mfd's)
So in order to fly those planes efficiently it's a smart thing to bind knobs for radarmanipulation, or mfd osb's to your hotas as well. And therefore want as many buttons as possible. Especially when flying in vr...

Are there official statements about working deckcrew implementation?

There is still a month left, fingers crossed!

Iirc that statement was renewed around when the preorder started

But that has nothing to do with the mission but with the Jet. I'd say its intentionally.

They aimed for Q2 2025.
If they can keep it, we are talking about a few weeks

Dont forget that most dcs players spend more time flying on the same few maps than real pilots could do.
Especially on the kaukasus map i'd say that you could drop most DCS Players anywhere on the map and within 5 mins they'd know where they are
And not everyone uses the F10 map. Its immersion breaking and buggs out shaders/lighting (for some ppl). I try to avoid it at all costs.

Or give Chuck Beta Access so he can start his guide
That still would take some time then. I hope that the core manual was written in parallel to the module developement and therefore is already nearly finished. At least in terms of the early access systems.
-
Any chance the manual will be posted here some days/weeks in advance of the module release?

And what about the avionics amd Radar? The FC4 Fulcrum A will be absolutely inferior to this module. It's not just the clickable cockpit added.

The building which can be seen in the Huey video right at the beginning on the left side (Luftganza 727 facing it) was never there at this time - looks more like Terminal C, which was only built in the late 2000s:
See here before Terminal C was built - the Huey takes off right next to that regional jet next to the parking lot:
Same could be said about the war of the nations memorial in leipzig. Thats clearly the modern post 2000s one.
But i guess that's because they use some assets from their flightsim maps instead of creating period correct ones from scratch.
(Leipzig has also no marina near that monument, as shown in the video
)
But lets not forget that we talk about a sim which at the end of the day is still some kind of game and not a historical document, so i'm fine with that an am just happy to see my hometown represented in dcs. Thats far more than most users here can say at the moment

As an inhabitant of Leipzig, i am very curious how the DCS Version will look like

How would it attract more?
I can hardly imagine even one player at all doing research about dcs and then thinking to himself: "What!? Only aim120b and c? <profanity> it, i'm out!"
Not even one!
What doesnt mean i would be against newer models. I just cant imagine that beeing an interesting point at all for possible newcomers.

Getting Data out of the Missile is actually not that complicated as many of people here may think.
The easiest way would probably for a country to get a ton of medium/low Budget Fighteraircraft, declare war on a nation which fields the 35 plus AIM120D's, then maintain most of the fleet constantly airborne so that the F35 are forced to actually use these missiles.
If enough are to be shot, there are bound to be some duds among them, which also fail to detonate. Aquire them afterwards and reverse engineer them.
It's easy. You just have to sacrifice your political credibility, foreign relations, tons of money and of course some lifes.
But the gain would be public knownledge about the missile. (If the country decides to share what they might discover)
No need to overcomplicate things.

And in the meantime the BMS eagle will keep me busy. I love how much of the Hotas from the DCS Strikeeagle is applicable on their F15C and i bet on the future DCS one as well.
It streamlines the learning and makes us combat ready in no time

If i got all the posts during the last year right, there is a system in place. However only for newer modules. Though Razbam started working on the SEagle way before that, so those new terms do not apply for them.

One saddening event is missing on the "look back".
Let's hope things will improve on that front during 2025 as well.

Let's say it's mitigated by turning the sharpeness down, but you can't call it a final solution i guess

Well he was not wrong at all. I have no problem for this thread to continue on, as long as it helps to find a solution
Refueling -- External Tanks Not Filled: Bug or Not?

I thought the f16 can, if you open the inflight refuelling door? For depressurization.
