for all the hoopla, it doesn't even do it right. it's slow and sluggish and it looked for the better half of the snap that he was going up. the su27 almost sits still at the top of the loop and then the nose falls rapidly

25 pages and I think it boils down to "my epeen is bigger than yours" (with 25 pages of pros and cons of the epeen size, speed and age.

situational awareness. you don't get into the middle of the fight and then wonder who is who. You need to be aware of the planes (rwr etc) around you before you get into the thick of things

I have played this sim since it first hit the shelves met some great and interesting people especially my squad the S77th.
I say goodbye now simply because for me its time to move on.
Before I leave i will tell you all why.
I waited for 9 months before eagle dynamics released its first patch to fix the bugs in this sim.I flew the 15 as I always did and for all the people who have been here from the start remember it was a deathtrap.
I waited equally long for another patch and still the bugs were not properly corrected.
I got flamming cliffs and still the bugs were not corrected.
A new patch was promised towards the end of spring early summer and still its not available.
Eagle dynamics has proven to me that they dont support their product but rather want their hand in your pocket.
The poorest customer support i have ever witnessed in a gamming community.
To everyone I have played with and against I <S> all of you.
To eagle dynamics I say never again.

There's no way to get rid of it. This fix was for 1.02 and I expect ED to address it in 1.1 that's why I asked why it was still required. All ED had to do was make sure the local one was loaded but it seems you're stuck with the fix.

and round and round we go. Are you talking about the plane or the Russians? Can the plane do a2g? yes. Do the russians use it for A2g? No. end of story

how do you land? carefully.. :)
the easiest way to do it is with no weapon load, almost empty fuel and a moving carrier. You need to open your chute just before you touch down and hit the brakes hard.

but they'll be an even bigger framerate issue with long threads of why they can't get 50 fps from their 7800GTX SLI :)

ok i got the uploads to work, it doesnt accept 2.25mb bmp files, or probably any large file type, so i had to go for the uber crap jpeg filetype which brings the quality down big style :(
it would be nice if there was some text somewhere saying how large the uploads could be
you must be crazy :) nobody uses large bmp files for web pictures

wasn't this taken from the kutz video? I thought it was only for simulated refueling or testing. It sounds silly to have one su33 refuel another.. but who knows

you realize "summoning" unidentified flying objects is an oxymoron right? :)

People have reported flying without a hud gets better framerates than with a hud, so a bigger hud doesn't necessarily mean more fps. Also with the helo you'll be spending a lot of time looking at vehicles and building upclose which will probably cause an fps hit.

cool, I was looking at the screenshots with the city.. wouldn't it be cool if we could have a battlefield2 type environment in this one? at least we can dream..

Since my last post, most of the testing has focused on online (multi-day running missions at times) play and the results have shown that most of the bugs identified in Beta 01 have been resolved. Tomorrow or early next week we'll probably move along to Beta 03 which I hope may be a final candidate; we'll see... At this point I really can't estimate a release date as anything could still crop up and usually does when I make the mistake of citing a date.
Here are a dozen more items that have been addressed in the patch:
1- Force Feedback support to aircraft using the Standard Flight Model (SFM) has been improved.
2- AGM-154s will no longer collide if dropped in salvo mode.
3- AGM-154 will no longer perform unrealistic flight maneuvers.
4- Air Launched Cruise Missiles (ALCM), will no longer engage moving targets.

do you have an update on not seeing the flaps position on the su25T of other players in multiplayer?

ED also screwed up by giving them rights to it after their initial screw up. Any screwups after than can also be blamed on ED for not clarifying the whole mess. Not only that ED knew about the initial screw up and didn't seem to bother correct EG, I say this because the first screw up made ED not EG look bad
