I believe ED must be aware of the black moving map on the zoomed-in scale (this also happens at various scales in on the Hornet's map) and I hope that this is addressed as it stops the use of a promised feature. I recently bought the Hind and have noticed that as you flick to the zoomed scale, the flight plan adjusts scale just before the whole screen goes black. Also, for shorter flights the flight plan is so crowded on the zoomed-out scale that it is utterly unreadable. So as a short term fix to this bug, would it be possible to change the black placeholder for the missing map areas to a white one so that the flight plan can still be read and followed with DISS. As immersion breaking as this would be, I and I imagine many other customers would prefer to be able to have some function to navigate shorter distances with the map, as at the moment the moving map is only usable on 10-15+nm legs on a flight plan.
A second suggestion would be some sort of adjustment to the way distance, heading and time information is written on the map. When tight turnpoints or tight flight plans - particularly legs that double back on themselves - are plotted, then these useful writings end up overlapping each other and become completely illegible.
I know that neither of these is a technical bug/glitch with the Hind, however they are of course features not working as intended, which is why I thought best to post here rather than on the wishlist topic which seems more for requesting extra goodies rather than advertised features. I am sure in the long run ED will fix most of the issues and it will be a pleasure to watch the Hind grow through early access, as I did with the Hornet. Thanks for all your hard work and I hope to see a useable moving map soon!
