Hey guys, for the past week I've been trying to get the attack radar to help me with BVR combat. (Just for background, I have a fair foundation for BVR and attack radar from using the F15C in DCS). I've been using mission editor to help with this where I set myself up in an F18 against enemy bombers TU-160s or SU30s within 40nm. I have the Air to Air button with AIM120 selected. However, I can never get any targets to show up on the attack radar. Even though I go from BVR to with visual range after 5mins, I never see the green blocks appear so that I can select the target. Also, on my EW screen, the RWR only ever shows me sea targets and not air targets? Hoping you guys can help, this has been driving me nuts for past week. I've attached a screenshot of my cockpit where I was trying to get targets to appear on either the BVR or attack radar but failed. In this screenshot, I had 6 TU-160s about 30-40nm directly ahead me at the same altitude of 20,000ft.

So I’ve started looking through manuals and YouTube videos for the BIT test. My understanding of the BIT screen is that it shows what systems on the aircraft are identified and working as they should be. however, before take off- should I be aiming to clear the systems with issues like DEGRADED or NOT YET TESTED. Is it okay to take off with the BIT screen showing outstanding tests?
