  1. You misunderstand. I am suggesting that client should have the ability to throttle, so they can do other things on the internet, whilst DCS is updating. I wasn't saying DCS was throttling. Nice flex by the way.
  2. Hi All, My post is open for discussion, but mainly directed the DEVS to consider. This has happened a number of times where after working through the week and the weekend arrives only to find there is a huge update to download. I do monitor the launcher during the week for any downloads, but that can go for a few days without a check. So now its late afternoon on a Saturday and I'm still waiting for my update to finish. My Internet is not particularly fast. I understand that this always possible, but something to consider for those suffer the same issue. I would hope the DEVS consider scheduling the updates to be on a Monday. This gives time for players to download before the usual weekend flying. Also giving time during the week for the DEVS to provide a hotfix if needed. Secondly, the updater needs a mechanism restrict bandwidth, which would allow the update to occur whilst allowing me to play another MP game. Just like Steam does. Thirdly, the updater needs download resumption system instead of just starting from the beginning again if you turn off the download to do it later. Cheers, Spinfx
  3. Done a quick search, surprisingly I couldn't find an answer in the forums or numerous tutorials. After landing on ILS, refuel and rearm and take off again, I still have the glide slope and steering indicators on. How to turn these off ? Prolly something easy no doubt. Thanks in advance.
  4. Yes.. Most probably. It would be useful if ED gave us a launcher with options like this as tick boxes. Included also to do integrity checks etc. Just an idea.
  5. OK that worked. I did have --force_OpenXR —force_enable_VR and I used your suggestion --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR which worked. I am sure I swapped these around to see if it would fix the issue. Anyways.. problem solved. Many thanks.

  7. Only for the controller which is not used in dcs. I had it before and it worked as a setting and I have tried it blank with no success. tried removing force on the openxr and still no go

Hi All, Starting a few days back, When I start DCS MT using the following parameter "--force_OpenXR —force_enable_VR" as I always have, it starts and when it gets to the black screen, it then crashes to desktop. It also does it with STEAMVR as well. Starting DCS in nonVR is fine. I don't believe I installed or changed anything that would triggered this issue when it first started. All other VR software that uses OPENXR or not works fine. i.e. IL2 Since the is problem has started I have uninstalled-reinstalled Pimax software, PimaxXR, OpenXR toolkit, Quad-views-Foveated utility and Nvidia Drivers. I ran safe mode in OpenXR toolkit with no change. Finally, I reinstalled DCS (separate folder), same thing. I have attached the DCS.log Doe anyone have suggestions to what next to try. Any help would be appreciated. System: AMD 5900X, 32GB RAM, RTX4080. Thanks in Advance. Spinfx dcs.log
  9. Hi All, Just hoping for some help. I want to place 4 ship of SU 33 on the russian carrier for take off. I assign all to " Takeoff from Runway". When I start mission, 1st pilot starts at takeoff 1 position, then the second and third pilot spawns on the same spot and explodes. How can get all planes to start in separate positions on the deck? Why cant I select parking lot positions. All I get is "Auto". Spinfx

  11. Hi ED TEAM, When I start my DCS Multiplayer, I am asked to reactivate all my products again, which is about 8 or so. They activate and use up a activation point. Yet no plane or helo is available and the activation is asked again when I start DCS world again. This happened once before last year, I think I had to reinstall all my products again. I dont want to reinstall again. Is there an easier way to fix this. Spinfx.
  12. ok cool. Hope they bring in individual weapon control on the ships. i.e. activate forward gun only or missiles only, or jump into gun sight of a naval gun. Adding sonar would be good to hunt subs. Maybe thats too much to expect. Anyways.. exciting times to be a Sim enthusiast.
  13. Hi, I've searched but find anything on assigning map controls in F10. I find it frustrating that you can only pan around the map using the mouse. I would like to assign the arrow keys one the keyboard to move about the map. Is there a way to do that ? Control options doen't seem to have them unless I missed them. Any help would be appreciated.   14. Does anyone know if ED has plans to allow tactical or even FP control of ships by the GND Commander. I think it would be great fun having some sea battles with players in ships and flying F18/su33 off the carriers. Cheers
  15. Hi, Found a bug I think . A GND Commander can control aircraft in SP or mission testing from the editor or the GND Comnnader is the host of the MP mission However, the client joins as the GC on a server, they can't control them in MP. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. If anyone has any ideas to fix this. Thanks. Cheers

  17. Hi all, I want have a enemy flight wait at an airfield and take off when any of the coalition enter a trigger zone. I've created the trigger zone and set up the rules with the correct names so that the enemy flight activates when any of the coalition enter the trigger zone. My problem is that the enemy flight just start up at the start of the mission and take off. The enemy flight is set to start at 12 midday along with everything else in the mission. Is there something I need to do to the enemy flight for them to hold at the airfield until the trigger is activated.? Any help would be appreciated. Spinfx
