Thanks all for help i just tried locking my fps at 120HZ, slightly lowered mouse refresh rate and stopped using "Run as admin" thing for DCS and TrackIR as @Flappie recommended so. Now all works fine But one thing i can say that on Main menu DCS sometimes take long to respond but no issues when flying @BIGNEWY

I do apologize for kinda flooding the forum with topics as i already have an existing one where i mentioned DCS freezing for no reason at start up but now finally i have clearly identified what's causing the issue. After trying dozens of different things and playing around with windows settings, it turns out to be the TrackIR software that's causing this mess. Whenever i launch DCS without Trackir running, it just all works normally otherwise it freezes on main menu. Tried uninstalling software and reverting back to 5.4.2 still same happening. Would be happy to hear any proven solutions for this

Trying to stay under $1000 if possible and looking for the highest FOV

I just built a rig as stated in my signature with 9800X3D and RTX 5070Ti GPU Looking to switch to VR world and based on my tiny research, i want highest possible FOV and image clarity. Don't know which VR is my solution Quest products Valve index Oculus HTC Pimax products So what would you recommend based on my expectations?

Exact the same thing over here. But i found a weird solution: Everytime before i launch DCS, i do perform a repair and use the clean files feature of the launcher. It works but shouldn't work that way...

Tried this and disabled VMP - VBS in windows 11 but still freezes.

I've been experiecing this issue ever since i built my new rig last week. Tried repairing, doing clean re-install of all drivers, checked windows files integrity and so on but nothing seems to be working. Not having this issue in any other game or application but DCS. Interestingly every 10 attempts to start DCS and only 1 of them happens to be successful and i fly only then.Other 90% of my attempts ends up in disaster also sometimes causes PC to freeze as well so i reset the computer. Hi there fellow flyers, A NON-VR guy here (But might jump into that world if things work out as i plan) and im hoping to get some helpful advices that might save cost and still get me the results im expecting. Currently planning to build a new rig for DCS and MSFS and running a 2K 165HZ IPS Monitor. The specs in mind: I9 14900K MSI or ASUS Z790 MOBO RTX 5070TI 64GB DDR5 RAM 2TB M2 Many people say Intel is dead already and some say AMD will do a huge replacement in architecture and firmware which will require new MOBO and Intel still beats amd's single core performance. I also looked up AMD 9950x3d CPUs and its hefty price tag for what it offers kinda pushed me away. * So should i stick with INTEL 14th gen or go for Ryzen CPU at least 9900X3D? * Should i seek for 128 GB RAM instead of 64 as a future investment? * RTX 5070TI for sure is a decent card for 2k gaming and simming but when i see that 100% performance difference with 5090, im getting seduced... Budget-wise i can actually afford but kinda feeling guilty... I want a build a rig that'll not require an upgrade for a real long time at least for the next 6-7 years and should also let me run DCS with eye candy graphics and great performance if i decide to go for a pimax or similar VR google. Hello there, I've been experiencing an issue with DCS Steam edition after the updates since january 2023. The sim crashes and at the same time it causes discord and some other apps to crash as well.I wasn't having any issue in crowded MP servers previously. Uploaded the log file after the latest CTD i had few mins ago. Thanks in advance. dcs.log
