  1. Thanks for the quick reply. I see the file is in the Oculus software and not in the DCS program. I should have read your link more closely.
  2. Will your install pass the integrity check getting into servers after removing the file? Thanks!
  3. I need to look when I get home to verify but my Oculus app did update as soon as I undid the Staging folder rename to block it. I'm sure it's 0.64. I have Developer mode on and the hand tracking turned on in my Headset. When I launch Meta Link and go to my desktop I keep getting a message saying it can't find my controllers until I pick one up.
  4. Greetings, I'm experimenting with hand tracking for Quest 3, watching the videos and reading forum threads, etc. My question is about my in game VR menu in the VR section. The Hand Tracking section doesn't give me the "Trackers" option. Only "Disable" and "Controllers". I am running OpenRX ToolKit and using the Oculus OpenRX runtime not VD. And no other tracking programs. Should I have the "Trackers" option in my DCS VR drop down Menu? Thanks in advance.
  5. I don't believe the issue affects Q2 and Q3 over QP. I'm using a Q3. It along with my Q2 both work with DCS since I did the system restore thing I described early in this thread. After the restore operation I opted out of the PTC and it downloaded an update. I ended up with V63.0.0.216.361 and it has worked since. From where I'm sitting it seems to be the version of V63 you're running. For example V63.0.0.150.361 seems to be one that won't launch. Is there anyone with V63.0.0.216.361 that can't launch DCS with Oculus runtime? That being said once ED releases the patch I'm going to reinstall my Oculus software.
  6. Greetings all, I have the Spitfire module finally got around to learning the aircraft. IIRC, the module is suppose to have the "Clipped Wing" variant also. Perhaps I'm overlooking it. Is there a way to choose the CW in 'Instant Action" ? I'm hoping to practice in it as well as the standard. Not a mission builder here. Do I have to build a mission to fly it? Thanks in advance.
  7. Thanks so much! Another question if I may. Once ED releases the patch and DCS works with Oculus V63, how to update Oculus? Untick "Auto Updates" or Would you have to uninstall and reinstall Oculus to do so?
  8. Are you also renaming the "Staging" and "tmp" folders and adding the non extension "Staging and "tmp" files as described in Lange_666 post?

  10. This IS very interesting. My Windows System Restore fix I described got me working even thou my PC app shows to be Version 63.0.0.216.361 also. I checked my DeBug tool and it shows to be V62 as does my Q3 headset.
  11. The workaround I described in my earlier post in this thread worked for me, or has up until this point. Flew several hours last night and just finished a multiplayer mission. Of course the issues Windows System Restore causes might be a deal breaker for you. If you are a Chrome and Discord user( and Thunderbird in my case) it will not restore all their files for some reason. The "undo" does put them back however. But backing them up and reinstalling them back in the folders seems to be the trick. In my case however I was able to correct them as I described in the post. All the rest of my programs work fine after the Restore. I have since applied the update blocking instructions also in this thread. So far so good. Try it at your own risk should you decide to. And you would think when Meta rolls out an update for the PC app they would at least address the " Your PC isn't Compatible" banner.
  12. At present DCS is launching in VR for my Quest 3. My Link software is showing V63.0.0.216.361 but is working. Perhaps it's actually V62 but my use of system restore may not have changed the version number data. My Quest 3 is V62. I followed the instructions on blocking the update. I renamed the Staging folder to bak.Staging in the C/programs/Oculus folder, created the Staging and tmp non extension txt files and put them in the same Oculus folder. I didn't see the tmp folder. Is it in a different location? As answered in an earlier question in this thread I'm not supposed to create one, only rename it if it's there? Thanks in advance.
  13. Quest 3 user here. This issue happen to me several day ago. I saw there had been a Meta update in the PC app. I did a system restore in my W11 install and DCS started launching in VR. Everything else on my system seemed fine. After reading some forum posts I went into the Meta PC App settings and unticked Automatic Updates, opted out of PTC. I did not make note of the PC App version at that time. Wish I had But it worked fine until Last night then it happened again. DCS wouldn't launch in VR/Meta link. I did take note of the Meta version and it was V63. And I saw there had been a Meta update even thou I had auto updates unticked. I tried the system restore trick again. When choosing the restore point to go back to I saw where there had been a couple of Windows Updates yesterday. However I didn't seem them looking in my Windows Updates history. At any rate I choose the point before yesterday's windows update, let SR run and now DCS was launching in VR again. Checking the Meta PC app version said it was V63. PTC and Auto Updates still unticked. Created a restore point in System restore and I thought I was good till I noticed that System restore had deleted the .exe's for Chrome, Thunderbird (email) and Discord. None of them would launch. CRAP! So I undid the System Restore. Now the three apps would launch and function normally and of course DCS would not launch in VR as before. So I copied the contents of the Discord folder, the Google folder (Chrome) and the Thunderbird folder. This kept the .exe's and all the data. Moved them to a drive unaffected by system restore. Then I ran System Restore to the restore point I had created when DCS would launch. Now as before DCS and Meta are working and the three app .exe's are gone and won't run. I pasted the contents I had saved of Discord, Chrome and Thunderbird folders back in their program folders that were still under windows programs (actually the Discord folder is in a different location, under Users/app data/etc.) which put the .exe's back and they launch and run normally with all the data that was there before AND DCS is launching in VR with my Quest 3. And the version of the PC App is still V63. We'll see if it still works when I get home tonight. Sorry to be so long winded, hopefully this might be of some help.
