You might want to try this. I thought it was worth taking a risk on it a couple of years ago and I've never looked back. Fairly simple to install (screwdrivers are about the limit of my technical ability!), and actually makes the slew usable, which the standard slew nipple definitely isn't.

I’m fielding my new setup now. And having a joystick is very nice. But I could still see myself doing that mod as I fly pretty much every other module. And in a fixed wing aircraft I don’t think having two joysticks to manage is very good. Thanks for the tip

Redneck engineering is best engineering. I once helped a buddy carry a heavy freezer out of his basement. He provided a hand cart to help us chain it and lift it up the stairs. Turns out one of the tires had a hole and so the weight flattened it. We put air in the tire with his small air compressor but the hole was too big. It flattened again. But it held the air for about 30 seconds. So… we pumped the tire, lifted the freezer up a stair or two, then refilled the tire. Hillbilly but the job got done
Well, sometimes things do not have to be so complicated to work haha

Do you stick your legs straight out and pedal for rotor speed?
Actually I am the one producing all the torque. When those pesky small apache engines can't deliver the juice, I step in. Goes well above 30.000 feet with 16 hellfires.
Kidding aside I just built it in my garage and it’s not in the room I play in. Therefore my bicycle is in the background. But i think you would’ve figured that out haha.

Well thanks a lot. It's a bit redneck engineered. But it works great for vr

How Long does it take for them to upload to their server? Are we talking minutters or Hours. I live in Denmark and want to fly this beast before going to bed tonight

Definetly not. But their inhouse media team imo is probably the best i’ve seen out there as far as trailers goes.
They Will probably outdo themselves again as they always seem to do- 3

Is there some sort of ea-release video planned?

If the code is final and done. Then it's only a matter of days imo.

True, $80 for a rusty plane isn't so bad. I'd pay a lot more than that for a ride in a real rusty Hornet.
Haha Yup, definetly would too

I didn't pay $80 for a rusty plane. I should have an option for a clean Hornet like the cockpit in the Hog.
Hahaha, $80 is not bad for a rusty plane…….. in real life.
Btw, installed your recommendation. It definitely shines it up a lot - thanks

Yup, would be some great insight in what’s actually going on behind the scenes

Yeaaa it’s sad they cant personalize the jets they are actually flying more.

How do the closed beta team look for bugs?
Are they systematically going through every possible scenario you can imagine the Apache will be in?
Or are they just playing the game and reporting every bug back?
Are the bugs they are looking for “big scale” in regards to how the module interacts with the maps? Or “small scale” internal bugs with the module?
I’m Curios

Yeah i know salt is corrosive and so on. And the hi vis skins also look quite a lot better. But it’s just the rust at the vents over the engines im not a fan of.
where can i get custom cockpit skins?
-
Yup, but can you use the cockpit Liveries in multiplayer? Because then i would love to try that out
-
I’ve played dcs for quite some time now. But something i’ve always wondered about is why the hornet’s skin and interior is so rusty and scratched up.
i understand from an artistic standpoint that you want to make it believeable and get the impression the jet has been used.
But why not give us an oportunity to select if we want a “from factory” design or a “beat up” like in the A10IIThe hornet is one of my favourite planes in DCS, But the viper for me has hit a sweetspot in terms of the balance betweeen Busted and factory. There’s something about the interior/exterior of the Hornets skin i cant get my head around.

We are planning for the end of February Q1. If that changes we would let you all know.
Testing and development is going well.

Great News, Thanks
Why is my F-18 supercrusing?

Yeah i still Think it’s pretty neat that it can
Oooh it’s like a knife to the heart when you say legacy hornet. It’s just the c model f18. I cant accept the fact they have been replaced. However some countries still use them.
