Excellent analysis. Thank you for sharing this. This helps out a lot. I'm finding that experience coupled with tweaking the TIR settings is seeming to help but your comments are very helpful in understanding how this all works.

I am having an issue with my head tracking (TrackIR) not working when I am in the pilot and co-pilot position on the CH-47. When I move to the door gunner positions and the engineer position, it seems to work just fine. I have closed everything and restarted both the TrackIR software as well as DCS. I always start up the TrackIR software first and then open the game. Does anyone have any insight into this? DO I need to re-calibrate Track-IR with the control settings within the game itself? It seems to be working normally (2 lights) on the TrackIR device. Thank you.

Good afternoon, Looking for anyone that may be able to help with my SimApp Pro software. I have the most up to date Firmware: F18 Handle: V1.33 Orion Throttle Base II: V1.17 I have WinWing Orion2 Joystick and Throttles plugged into the USB in computer. When I run the SimApp Pro program I get get green MFD DISPLAY DRIVER and then software goes to next step where it "Check Display Settings in Windows" At this point it goes RED and tells me to change my display settings to EXTEND Mode. I only have one monitor. A Alienware AW3423DWF curved monitor, nothing else. However, I did try to change the display settings to Extend Mode but it keeps reverting back to PC Only which makes sense since I only have one monitor. I have attached a picture of the screen for further confirmation. Anything you could add as to why the program stops at this step?

I am currently using a iMac desktop with VMWare Fusion running as a virtual machine to run windows. I am currently running Windows 7 with it. When I installed the program, everything installed properly and I get the main splash screen with the training missions, familiarization, etc. But when I go to use the program, I get an error message that says that I am trying to us a PC emulator and that I should close it down. I think what may be happening is that I cannot get to the activation screen. A buddy of mine who has the program says that when you go to start your first mission, the activation window comes up and allows you to put in your serial number and then a hardware code is generated to finish out the registration process. It is at this time that I get the error message. When I click on the "help" on the error dialogue box, it directs me to the various ways you can activate the software. So I am hopefully thinking that this is an activation issue rather than me trying to run a Virtual Machine with the VMWare Fusion software. If there is anyone out there using a Mac that has had a similar problem or anyone can shed some light on this it would be much appreciated. I want to play this game! (And I don't have the cash to buy a PC after breaking the bank for the Mac!) Thanks.

It sounds as though you made need to re-install the driver software that came with the hardware. That happened to me while playing Black Shark before. Let us know how it works.

Installation Help If there is someone on this forum that could help I would really appreciate. I want to start playing this game but can't install it! I downloaded the beta version of the DCS: A-10C Warthog from the server and saved the file to my hard drive. I then received an email with the Serial Number, however when I double click on the file I am unable to extract the information to install the program. (I can't get to the program to even activate the software because it won't start / install properly) The file that I downloaded is a .bin file and I can't seem to find the right program to extract the program. Do you have any suggestions? I think this is strictly a extraction issue and I don't have the proper program. If you could send me a detailed installation procedure that would be great. Any help you could give me to get this thing up and running would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Delta_Nerd
