Well, here we go down another rabbit hole... After the latest DCS update (awhile back) I hadn't worked with my P-51D for a while and when I fired it up again the aileron trims had no effect. The left one moved but the right one didn't and during "Instant Action" they had no effect on the flight characteristics, and I had to keep giving right aileron. This had not been a problem previously. So, I still had my original CD for the P-51D purchased years ago and decided to reinstall. Of course, that was a bad move because it also wants to install DCS; which it did and now I had an ancient version of DCS which never worked in the first place, and I had already uninstalled the current DCS version which I suspected had caused the problem in the first place. So... I uninstalled the old DCS and the P-51D stuff and then downloaded the current installers for DCS 2.9. I am currently installing (unpacking) the DCS_World_web.exe file and hoping all my aircraft are still there on my account. I may try the server version also. Way back when I first ventured into DCS, I had problems with DCS not running and tech support told me to install the full Monty, but I don't remember if it was just the world web one or the server. It's a good thing I have a go-zillion tera bytes of HD.
