  1. Thanks for finally saying it. I posted about this exact topic in another thread, and every time I see it, people wonder what might be wrong with my high-end setup. I'll do exactly the same: sit back, watch the patch logs and the forum, and just not get annoyed anymore...
  2. I was actually thinking about giving up, but playing DCS in VR without jittering and stuttering seems to be THE big challenge of my summer. My setup: Meta Quest 3 i9-13900K 64GB RAM ASUS ROG STRIX 4090 Windows 11 at maximum performance, freshly installed tp-link BE550 6GHz dedicated for the Q3 Graphics settings make no difference; I don't have any FPS issues. The stuttering occurs at moderate and low graphics settings. My most recent solution was to buy ParkControl Pro to unpark the CPU. That didn't make a difference either. (I noticed during testing with the Link Cable that ONE core was constantly running at full capacity.) I use Virtual Desktop; the most important settings can be seen in the video. The mouse polling issue seems to be back, which I'm solving with a wired 250Hz connection. Turning Game Mode or HAGS on or off makes no difference. I've already tried closing all background applications. That doesn't help either. I even tried the old NVIDIA driver, which is still recommended. That doesn't help either. I excluded the whole DCS folder (and VD) in MS Defender. I'm very happy to hear any suggestions for solutions. YT-Video: DCS VR Stutters I also find it interesting that ONLY the scenery stutters. The cockpit moves flawlessly, no matter what I do.
  3. DCS VR ran smoothly for a while, but since today, I've noticed that only about 50% of my GPU power is being used in VR. When I fly in 2D, I have a utilization of 99%. I also tried the same settings in VR as in 2D, but even then, I have a different GPU utilization. I have absolutely no idea how this could have suddenly changed. My latency in VD is sometimes at 37, then it goes back up to 59, and my game latency increases from 1 to 12ms. I've implemented all the tuning and optimization tips on my PC (Core Parking, Game Mode off, HAGS, etc.). Thanks for your help. i9-13900K - 4090 - 64GB RAM - VD - Meta Quest 3 on 6GHz dedicated TP-Link BE550 - Latest DLSS Preset K
  4. I turned on automatic bitrate and lowered the Mbps from 200 to 120. -> runs 98% smoothly.
  5. i9-13900K - 64GB - 4090 - Meta Quest 3 - TP-Link BE3600 dedicated WiFi 7 I'm experiencing strange changes in VR performance when I turn my head sideways. This also occurs during flight. It's clearly visible in the video, but without recording, the performance changes are even worse. What's going wrong here? Video-Link (dont know how to embed): DCS weird VR performance
  6. Since today, the new TP-Link has been running as a dedicated router, and the latency has dropped significantly. During the first test run, however, I still had jitter (latency 66ms, gaming 12ms), which suddenly stopped after about 30 seconds and then reappeared after a while. Well... and then I set the mouse to a polling rate of 125, and BAM, no more jitter. I would never have thought of that.
  7. Oh man, it seems like it's a problem with the wifi connection. First of all, thank you all for your fast help and support. Ordered a dedicated wifi 7 6GHz router today and will test if that fixes the stuttering. I will keep you updated if that eliminates the latency spikes and bad performance.
  8. I've tried absolutely everything and can't get any further. i9-13900K - 4090 - 64GB RAM - Meta Quest 3 My log file is attached. I've already run it through the log checker in Discord dozens of times. I have a great connection to DCS via Virtual Desktop with low pings and very stable FPS. The entire scenery stutters during flight. Consistently. Slight, almost constant stuttering. I've tried several settings and I've given up. Am I the problem, or is it DCS VR? Thanks for your help. dcs.log.old
  9. Thank you, I read through the entire thread again and saw that this affects certain configurations. In my first post, I was a bit emotional about non-functioning flight simulators and I apologize for my somewhat harsh tone. I'm looking forward to the update when I can then buy the F/A-18 as a module.
  10. New user here. I came from MSFS to DCS so I could fly the F/A-18 in a realistic environment. Immediately after installation I couldn't even start DCS (the error mentioned above) and am now very surprised that for a sim that has been tried and tested for years I apparently have to fiddle around in my Windows settings to even get the thing to work. To be honest? I've never experienced anything like this in the worst beta versions of indie titles. A change in DNS causes problems in my internal network, so can I now decide whether I can use my PC as usual or whether DCS will run? Guys, please... Is it now foreseeable when we will no longer have to use this workaround (yes, it works, thanks @Vader)? I'm really a little shocked, I thought after MSFS 2024 things couldn't get any worse...
