  1. Hi again.
The only mod i have installed is the SRS mod and i highly doubt it would interfere with stuff related to rendering the camera.

I have ofc made a small track, and i have attached the log aswell.
I kind of find it odd that its all his blury, i havent changed any settings either.
Maybe it its something system spesific. im basically running a full blown amd rig. not the newst but not the oldest either 😛
Idk. anyway hopefully the log and track can be of some sort of help,

Here is also a small gif sequence incase your not seeing the same as me. (loop is backwards)
You can see at 2miles. its just a blury blob. If you look at something at 2miles with the H variant the image is rather clean and sharp compared to D.

    Litle Update.

I have now tested all D,G,H,K. except E ofc.
The bluryness only happens on agm's with the "IIR ASM" sensor.
In other words. Both D and G.
And i can confirme that G is also indeed blury as i did a test.

H and K does not have this anmount of bluryness.
So it looks like agm's with "CCD Imp ADM" are not affected.
im not 100% sure tho as i rarly use the H and K variant.  I mostly prefer the D.
Someone else need to verify that.

  2. Hi.

After patch 2.7.14.24228, The camera for the Agm-65D variant has become verry blury.
Maybe the K variant too, i havent checked it.

its not just blury, its exreemly blury, esp if you compare it to the H variant.
Everything is just a blury dot with the D variant.

Before the latest patch it was not as blury as it its now. Its really hard to make out anything on the screen..
Its like did i lock onto a tank or a bush or what, without the Tpod as help you would have a hard time telling..

    D Variant

I can also provide a track file. but i dont really see how that would be any helpfull.

  3. Not sure what youre tralking about.
What is this advance settings ? and what special tab?  youre talking about

The mission designer/maker sets the default radio freq, by default it is set to 251 for the A10 in the editor.
Are you talking about the radio presets tab like the F16 has?

  4. Hi.
Im digging up a old post.

I was looking thought my files and noticed that i had 36 GB of MP track files.
These are files that are totaly useles for me, i will never watch any of them.

    C:\Users\USER\Saved Games\DCS\Tracks\Multiplayer
All this folder does it eat up space. decrease write counts on cells for the ssd and what not.
I have not seen any options in setting menus to disable this.

Has there been any changes to this? as in. is it possible to disable mp tracks with some sort of argument added to

    dcs.exe -DisableMpTrack  or something?

In: C:\Users\USER\Saved Games\DCS\Config i tried adding the file autoexec.cfg with the line disable_write_track = true
as one of the prev post talked about on page-1, but that didnt do anything.

Is it just not possible to disable mp tracks?
or  it is just possible by hacking some of the lua files, no other options?

    Thanks.

  5. I can comfirme this.
But you forgot about STBY button. the same happens with it.

If you set the fov to NARO and press the STBY button.
You will see that the text changes to WIDE on the black background.
If you now go back to AG mode. the Text still says WIDE but the fov is still NARO.

  6. Thrustmaster Warthog Throttle. fancy pancy boys 😛
    I just got a good old x52 😄

I have this issue in both my A10C II and my F16. i dont have the F18 so i dont know about it.  but looks like a issue across all planes with the tpod
I have provided a "short" track where i reproduce this behavioure.

  7. 1 * If any mods installed related to A10, Remove it.
2 * Double check that the Scorpion HMCS power button is on.
3 * Check when HMCS soi, that its not hidden with Dms left long.
4 * Check when HMCS soi, that the brightness isnt low.  Dms up
5 * Check HMCS in Stat page on left MFD to verify.

6 * Run "DCS_updater.exe repair" to be sure you dont have something screwy going on with your files.

Even if the HMCS power switch is one of the 1st things you set on. it should appared as you go though the startup sequence.
its one of the last things i turn on tho. often also forgotten 😛

  8. Sadly i think its a low priority to fix these kinds of stuff.
As far as i know, currently they dont even have a dev assigned to the A10.

Its verry sad that new people who buy the A10CII gets a broken product. (broken training missions, broken mfd's for nightflight etc.)
I understand that their priority is focused at other things at the moment.
But what i cant not understand is why they do wait for so long to fix stuff they broke.
Some of these issues the A10 have could probably have been pushed out as hotfixes.
That way customers would be happy instead of getting frustrated.
Leaving these kind of bugs unattended for a long perioid of time will only cause bad rep for eagle in the long run.

In my opinion your best option for now is just to use youtube, try watch some of Grim Reapers, Hoggit etc videos.

On the other hand, don`t forget, its just a game, and take it that way.

No its not a game. is a simulator that is trying to reproduce real world flight&weapon characteristics/performance etc.  🙂
Candy Crush is a game. 😛

You have been here only three months and you already are experienced enough to make such predictions? 🙄

also i have had the A10C since 2011-2012 ish if i recall correctly. upgraded to C2 not so long ago.

  11. Hi.
I think this is the right section to ask my question.

    So. as topic says.
I am asking this because i want to create my own textures "liverie". but why need the 3d model you may ask.

Well. creating a texture "from scratch" only using ps, gimp or whatever, just plain sucks imo. and is so 1980's
I know there are templates but its way more easy, convinient and practical to 3d paint | bodypain the model inside a 3d program.
Placing decals. adding dirt, wear & tear etc become more natrual imo and only do minor adjustment & post processing with the painting software.

Its also really annoying and time consuming having to jump back & forward between the painting app and the modelviewer + refresh the textures all the time in modelvier.

I guess there is no official tools or plugins that allows exporting these dcs models but have to ask to be sure.
If its not possible. do eagle provide some sort of dcs assets sample pack where the A10c is included?. like other games do. example arma2/3 includes several example models

  12. Hi.
I tried to look but could not find it reported. maybe its way back in this forum. idk.
Anyway. I am running latest stable version (2.7.11.22211) and i like to report a bug with aim9 and rapid fire.

If you load up 4xaim9 on your A10 and shoot them rapid, you'll see that the model of the aim9 is still on the left outer weapon station.

    QsGwJov.jpeg

I have also provided two tracks.
one where i fire slowly and you will see everything is ok.
and one where i fire rapitly and you see the aim model still visible.

this bug only seams to happen if you loadup 4xaim9's and shoot them rapid.
I have tried replicating the same using only missiles on left and right wing. but could not get the same behavioure as i get with 4xaim9's
No matter how fast i tried to shoot with only 2 missiles loaded. its ok. but not when loading up 4x missiles.
Ofc in real life you would probably never fire aim9 in this rapid secuence. but that dosent change the fact there is a bug when lanuching the missiles rapidly.

If this bug is a known bug just delete this post

  13. Hi.
I like to see some official dedicated training lesson/mission on howto use the tgp, "along with guided bombs (ccrp)".
I been flying the A10C(2) for a while and desided to try do some guided bombing with the F16.
Oh man... how do you git gud with the TGP in the F16?

How do you have sistuation awarness, how do you even know where the damn ting is pointing,
how do you set a spi where its pointing etc etc.

I dont know. maybe the tpod and the system on the A10C & C(2) is just soo much better.
or maybe im expecting to much or maybe i just dont know what i am pressing. probably a combo of all. 😛

In meanwhile. could anyone reccomend a good YT tutorial on the subject.

  14. Please add this feature to the A-10 C II.
I have many times added markpoints by mistake and it would be nice to get rid of it to declutter the markpoints.
I would think this is a rather small thing to implement and wouldnt require much effort from the developers.

  15. Umm no, if i understand you correctly.
To show "F10" on the tad is not possible. maybe with some sort of mod, i dont know tho.
Nor can you place markpoints precise on the tad because it doesnt show the cordinates the tad cursor is at.
So you cant use F10 to get cords. then use tad to place them in. you can,  but it will just be an estimate.

If the targets you want to mark are "static" units and location is know.
Then screw the markpoint, and instead just use waypoints.
Before taking off, or in flight. just create new waypoints before starting enaging..
Example if you mission has 10 waypoints. create waypont 11. call it forexample: emy1
Use F10 . (LAlt + Y, to prefered cordination format) to extract the cordinates and so forth.

Hopefully you have binded the cdu to your keyboard with a switch to make your life easyer.
And once get the hang of it you can insert wp blindfolded by just looking at F10 directly 😛
Once you have the waypoints setup,  slewing the tgp/mav cam is super fast. its just a matter of changeing stearpoint.

If the units you are engaging are on the move or more of a dynamic behavioure. then its a different ballpark.
maybe just add 1 waypoint to a general search area.
But nor waypoint or markpoint makes sence for each units you want to engage in that case..

One annoying thing with Markpoints. you cant delete the added one.  so if you screw up. you need to add a new one and clutter things up 😞
You supposely can do this in the real A-10 CII plane, with the blank button on the cdu.
We need more love for the A10 🙂

    3. Totally playable in terms of both A/A and A/G

I agree to disagree on the AA part.
The issues with the radar will only give you headache in the long run and is a huge issue imo. issues with radar elivation.  lock issues etc.
And from what i can tell. the issue has not been fixed in the latest beta patch.

They have been focusing on the FM and breaking other stuff in the game instead.

I had to stop playing the F16 for now and think of my health instead. dont want blood veins to pop.
I am sure the issues with the radar will be resolved at some point tho.

As for the Cold start. yes its simple and fast. but its not hard in the A10.  i dont know about F18 as i dont have that module.

  17. Hi.
I am posting in here since its one of the most popular modules and i guess i get a response faster here 😛
My issue is not a bug but more of a setting thingy.
In the past i could freelook with the mouse whenever i was in freelook (F2).
But after i installed the game again about 1.5 months ago. i can not figure out how to freelook in external view.
I have this problem for all my modules and i am not sure what setting i should change to fix it.

Whenever i go into freelook i can not move around using my mouse. its stuck to the trackir. which kind of sucks.
Alt C or double press the MM button only toggles the mouse cursor.
Its rather annoying having the freelook using the trackIr for viewing.

i tried pressing NumLock (Unlock view). i have  tied the (Num), key (Lock view) but that does nothing to fix the issue.
i think im looking at the wrong settings.

How do i go about fixing this ?

    Thanks.

  18. I too have noticed this happen  many many time to me when i am playing multiplayer. i rarely play single player so i dont know if its happening there.
Altho i only know about this with land based sam sites. i play A10 so i dont know about ships. i dont belong at the sea 😛

Anywho. it has happend so many times now i basially know how to do it.

1 * Approche the sam site at low altitute., i mean low.  almost skimming the tree tops.
2 * Get relative close to the samsite.  4-5nm miiles out.

3 * Increase your alt a little bit so your at the threshold where the sam can fire at you.
4 * Once the sam launches. quickly dive so youre skimming the treetops again.
5 * Missile explodes over sam site or verry close to it.

I am running the latest stable release. 2.7.10.19473
