  1. Finally pulled the trigger on one of these beauties and it arrived this morning. This is a monster of a HOTAS and everything I expected. Loaded up the Luas' in DCS A-10 and everything seems to be working fine. Love the feel of it although it's a bit of a shock having come from a CH Fighterstick. I have my suspicions that this particular stick/throttle has been used previously. No damage, just tell tale signs like fingermarks and slightly shoddy looking plastic bags that the units were in from the box. The box wasn't sealed (not sure if any are) and it has a very low serial number '00160'. Could I have possibly have been supplied with a return/refurb? It's not a huge deal as all is working ok it seems, on the other hand I payed for a new unit and expect to have received one. Returning to Amazon will cost around £15-£20 also. I'd be interested to know what your serial is if you've purchased a Warthog from Amazon UK recently. Thoughts!?
  2. Nice review SniprKlr. There must have been at least half a dozen occasions in the last week when my mouse pointer has hovered over the 'Buy' button for the TM Warthog. What's holding me back? I think it's mainly the quality issues I had with my cougar, along with the huge right bicep I acquired whilst using it when it was actually working!(It was from using the cougar. Honest!). Having now gotten used to the very nice but fairly 'wimpy' spring force of the CH Fighterstick I guess I'm also a little concerned that the Warthog might be a tad too 'manly' for me. I also spent some time with the G940 but couldn't get my head around the lack of decent support by Logitech along with what I personally thought was pretty poor in game support by game/sim developers. The killer for me though with the G940 was the fairly huge floppiness around joystick centre. Some people seem to get on ok with it but in the end for me this factor led to me letting mine go. The dilemma now is do I go for The CH Throttle and pedals to go with the Fighterstick (longevity pretty much assured) or go for the Warthog and get rudder pedals at a later date? By the way, I'm liking the look of the new Saitek Combat rudder pedals which are worth checking out on their site if your looking for a rudder solution. Due for release soon I think. I'm swaying toward the Warthog at the moment because I'm really enjoying the DCS A10 beta and I'm sure I'll be with it for the long haul. On the other hand I enjoy a quick spin on Rise of Flight too. Would be interesting to hear how the Warthog fares in a sim like ROF which is so different to what it is obviously designed for. Thanks again SniprKlr
