  1. Follow up with my blocky / shimmering / pixelated issue with clouds in the distance. The answer will suprise you. I have a Quest 2 . Everyone recommended the Reverb G2 so I bought one. Same issue. I went 2D with Track IR and didn't notice it much on my 48". Then I zoomed in, like it would be in VR when it's that close to my eyes. Son of a gun same issue. I realized the "quick missions" in DCS especially with Warbirds were done pre v2.8. Which means PRE CLOUD update. I used mission editor and change only the clouds and hit save. Ran the SAME mission with updated clouds and NO issues! Sooooo... wow. Outdated quick play and campaign missions developed pre 2.8 can look pretty rough. Now to sell my Reverb G2 lol
  2. Did you read the FAQ for OpenXR?
  3. VR and clouds - shimmer / glitter in the distance. Hard to see in the pic, but the clouds always seem to be blocky and shimmer especially in the distance. Note my picture isn't super clear but the opening in the clouds off the wing tip shows what I'm talking about. Gameplay is fantastic below the clouds, once I go above at high altitudes to escort bombers is when it falls apart RtX3080 - Ryzen 7 - Quest 2 - MT on. Textures High MSAA x4. Antistrophic x16. Clouds Ultra. Visible range Ultra. Preload radius maxed out. I've adjusted from the lowest settings to the highest, which seems to make no effect on the clouds in the distance. Just had to share that even ultra settings (taking the performance hit in FPS doesn't fix it) In tried every setting on Nvidia control panel with enhancing or over-riding the anti aliasing settings, FXAA on and off, etc etc. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a fix? Update- I've tried Multi thread. Normal non-MT, Steam VR. Open XR. Default VR settings. PD of all sorts on both Oculus and DCS. SSAA x2 with MSAA off. MSAA x4 abd SSAA off. Nothing changes. .
  4. I just received my HF8 pad yesterday! I was able to get the Next Level Racing HF8 pad to work with Simshakers. The HF8 pad has 2 inputs, either USB or AUX 3.5mm. USB is strictly for Next Level Racings software. I was able to use the AUX connection and it works great in stereo 2.0 channel OR I can use the 5.1 (6 channel) option. It requires a ASIO software to be running in the background, so I'm using ASIO4ALL a free software. I'm using the stock headphone jack on my motherboard, so no special hardware required. In addition NLR said they will support DCS in Q2 as seen here. https://nextlevelracing.com/hfs-troubleshooting-software-development/ If you chose to use their software. But I LOVE simshakers by Andre
