I've seen this type of query a few times in this thread now, there may be something else causing excessive power use? Strangely, or luckily? the official link cable doesn't seem to have an issue on my side. I've started DCS with a 50% charge on the Q3 and it was on 70% when I stopped less than 2hours later. My last session I started at 30% charge and again it was on 70% when I finished roughly 3 hours later.
Typically if I start at 100% charge it does drop but I've not seen it less than 85%. I doubt I've had a session longer than 3 hours with the Q3 yet.
I haven't fiddled much, its set to 72hz on the Oculus app so the lower frame rate likely helps?
I have it plugged into the usb-c port of my RX6800XT. Although my MSI B550 has supposedly a 10gbps usb-c port when I run the Oculus test I only get 200 and something mbps for some reason so I dont use it and wouldn't know if it will hold the charge the same.
I'd like to change to a 4090 so will have to figure out the issue with the usb-c on the board at some point as the GPU's I'm looking at dont have usb-c on them.
