By the way .... There is no sound coming out of the R-828, i.e. I can't check my sound file, and the R-828 automatically retunes without having to press the tune button, if I change the channel. I checked for sound on all radio tune options including VHF and R-828. It's all very well and good releasing module after module, and we all buy the latest module in support of ED, but how about supporting us and fixing these issues! Put down your tools, stop working on the Mig-29 module (that we have already paid for incidentally) and fix my R-828 radio!

The TUNER light on the R-828 still isn't working following the latest update (DCS 2.9.18.12722). Surely it isn't too much to ask to have the tuner ligh twork correctly? In the attached mission there is a ground unit tuned into channel 4. You can press the tuner button (S-828 ASU) until the cows come home but the tuner light does not work! Mi-24P R-828.miz

Hi GasMan3874. I'll keep testing but it's very annoying. I am unable to play in my multiplayer missions with my son who lives a few miles away.I created an absolutely basic mission, a Su-25T, no mods, on the Caucuses map. It's just the absolute bare bones and I still can't get it to work on a multiplayer server, either directly in DCS or using the server tools.

In the GAMEPLAY settings, there is an option ... "Unrestricted SATNAV". Well, who knew! It allows SATNAV for all coalitions as #Weta43 alluded to.

I know what you mean about the Afghanistan map. It seems fairly pointless. I only created a mission using the map just out of curiosity really, but all of the desert maps look pretty much the same. I suppose ED could have included Mujahideen fighters but they spent most of their time in the mountains. I don't know what effect it had when the UK and US supported the Mujahideen. I'm not sure we gave them any heavy equipment. Knowing the British, we probably held up a candle for them

Hi Rudel_chw Its on the Afghanistan map. I have some strange things happen on the Afghanistan map! I got the fire extinguishers to behave afer I copied and pasted them from the Caucuses map. See my post above, I have instances where personel hide under hard standing markings! Also, despite there being a Fix Point in the mission, I am only invited to correct the INU on the way back from a mission and not on the way out. In the Caucuses map I get the notice to correct the INU whenever I am close to a Fix Point.

I tried moving the fire extiguisher all over the place but it was still floating above the hard standing.I ended up copying and pasting the smae group from another mission and it woked fine. I also noticed that in the Afghanistan Map, at the Jalalabad airport, if I put any personel too close to hard standing markings, they appear under the markings in the mission editor!

I deleted the group from the Afghanistan mission and copied exactly the same group from a Caucuses mission, without moving anything, and it all works fine. No more floating fire extinguishers!

Hi razo+r Yeah, I tried that. I moved it all over the place and it still floats.

I have a Nav Fix position set in my mission some 18km from the airfield. However, the aircraft does not request a nav fix on the flight out in the mission, but it does on the way home. This is on the Afghanistan map. I have other missions, on the Caucuses map, where a Nav Fix is requested virtually on takeoff. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi Guys Recently I have noticed that the M92 Fire Extinguishers (01 to 03) all float above the ground! These are the fire extinguishers from the Massun92 Asset Pack, since incorperated into DCS. Any ideas? Thanks null

Hi Weta43. I'm as dumb as a dishcloth sometimes! I forgot that it was there! I ended up creating a new mission and then using the multi selection tool to copy and paste (CNTRL-C, CNTRL-V) everything from one mission to another! DOH!

Hi Guys I found a YouTube video by VOLK and he addresses this issue. It seems that you need to have Russia or USA in your coalition for the GPS to work. I've tried it on a new mission and used the cold war coalition setup but added Russia from the neutral coalitions. The ABRIS works fine. Now, if only there was an easy way to add Russia to my coalition in an existing mission, ED, please, if you wouldn't mind! Oh, and I tried creating a new mission with a Russian Ka-50 III and copying it into my mission but it comes in as a Neutral faction

Thanks Weta43. I reset my mission date to 1987, two years before the soviets baled out of Afghanistan but it made no difference. Maybe is just doesn't work on the Afghanistan map!

Thanks for the info, Weta43. Which leads me back to my original question, why doesn't the KA-50 Black Shark ABRIS work on the Afghanistan map?
