  1. Thank you very much for your help. Generally I am rather reluctant to use beta versions, so I tried to get along with 2.32 at first. This basically worked with the ASIO driver, but besides the need to use this driver, the 2.32 version also doesn't handle the fact that my soundcard uses sidespeakers instead of rearspeakers. This problem is also solved by a corresponding option in the current beta version. Now that I am using the beta version, all 5 bass speakers are working as expected. Thanks for the good work you are providing.
  2. Hi Andre, ok... so the speaker configuration alone will have no effect an i have to take a deeper dive in configuration? I finished my 5 basshaker mounting project today in the morning. Now i am looking für the version 2.33 of the Sound Module. Downloading the lastest release version results in installing 2.32. Do i need to uninstall 2.32 and use the beta version to get 2.33? Thx.
  3. Hello all. I have another question about the SimShaker Sound Module. In the settings up to 6 channels can be used. If 6 sound transducers are mounted to the rig, for example rear left, rear right, under the seat, front right, front left and under the pedals, then I need a 5.1 sound card and in the system settings of the sound card the positions of the individual speakers are to be configured and not in SimShaker Sound Module, correct? The SoundModule then sends, for example, when a bomb is dropped from the left wing, the effect to the transducers that are configured in the Windows sound settings on the left channels?
  4. Hi again, do I understand you correctly that you then have the effects of both systems represented so that they support each other? Or do you mean that different effects should only be displayed on one of the two systems. So if I run the landing gear over the Buttshaker, at the same time the value for Strengh JetSeat should be 0?
  5. I have already purchased the Sound Module for the use of the Bassshaker. All effects run today therefore via SSA + Sound Module on the Bassshaker. If I understand you correctly, some effects then end up later via the software on the bass shaker and others on the seat, or does a seat configuration have additional effects that are not available with the bass shaker alone? Does then the bass shaker under the seat, as I operate it now, still make sense, or should I move it then, for example, under the pedals?
  6. Hello everyone, I use a DIY Buttkicker so far. As I understand it, the use of a Buttkicker together with a Haptic JetSeat is unproblematic. How do I have to imagine this? How do I configure both systems in SSA so that they do not interfere or cancel each other out?
  7. To increase the frame cap you have to create/modify a config file in the saved games section of DCS. You can find instructions here: Youtube Tutorial increase FPS Cap
  8. Hi Fakum, I'll try to break it down. The Youtuber Plazma has created a mission that makes high demands on the system due to the many different units and actions. For the mission, he has recorded matching track data that you can play on yourself. You can get both the track data and the mission data via the links in his video. The mission data is needed if you don't own the aircraft from the track recordings. Then you perform the mission with your own airplane and record a track yourself. Since the tracks always do the same thing you can change the settings and then see which settings affect the performance. So you have a cleanly defined lab environment that always runs the same way. The mission or the track files only provide the basic conditions and the measurements are done with another software. Many here in the forum, like me also use the already mentioned tool CapFrameX. This tool is started and you can relatively easily give the program, which should be measured. So for my measurement I made sure that DCS is measured. In addition, you can specify a time for the measurement and a key combination that starts the measurement. For example, I entered 180 seconds for the measurement. To perform the performance measurement you first start CapFrameX, then DCS. Then you load the track file, start the playback of the track and activate the measurement by key combination. After the specified time the measurement stops, even if the track is still running. You can repeat this process as often as you like and adjust resolutions or settings like shadows or clouds and see the effects of the settings in the measurement results. CapFrameX looks a bit confusing when you first start it, but basically it is easy to use for basic tests. It took me about 15 minutes and a Youtube tutorial video to get my first measurement running.
  9. Hi everyone, I recently switched over as well. Until a few weeks ago, I was running a 10700k CPU and a1080GTX. I use DCS exclusively in VR and had 32 FPS in the past with extremely low settings. Except that I have EXPO enabled for the RAM in the bios, my system is not further optimized. Here are some of my performance tests using the plazma torture map: Greetings Dirk
  10. Thank you for the clarification. Is there a list of frequencies and to which parameter they belong?
  11. Hello everyone, I'm currently trying out the Basskicker configuration in SSA with the Sound Module. I have a basic question about this. If one parameter has a value and a second one has a lower one, does the second action get completely lost in the first one or do the effects cumulate? For example, if I set Engine Rumble to 30 and Flaps Movement to 25, will there be any noticeable reaction in the simulation when the flaps move or will the Engine Rumble effect absorb the Flaps Movement effect?
  12. Hi Kirk, I was in the same situation like you. I also use my computer mainly for flight simulations. Up until two weeks ago, I was still using a 10700k Intel CPU and a 1080GTX graphics card. I spent a long time looking at the various upgrade options and finally decided on an AMD CPU with the 7800X3D. The main reason was the better efficiency with better graphics performance compared to the Intel CPUs and at the same time low need for productive use of the system. However, I assume that even with low productive performance compared to the 13900k, the AMD CPU easily beats my old 10700k in terms of performance ;). I have kept the case, the installed case fans and my previous CPU fan Noctua NH-D15 with my upgrade. New additions are: - 1000 Watt be quiet! Straight Power 11 Modular 80+ Platinum - be quiet! 12VHPWR PCI-E Adapter Cable CPH-6610 - 24GB Palit GeForce RTX 4090 GameRock Active PCIe 4.0 x16 1xHDMI / 3xDisplayPort - Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX - AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 8x 4.20GHz So.AM5 WOF - Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MT/s DDR5 CL36 DIMM As VR goggles I still use an Oculus Quest 2. At the end of the day, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the current top CPUs. At least until a new generation appears ;). Here are some of my performance tests using the plazma torture map: Greetings Dirk
