That was a great tip! I can now get the tanker to fly at 315 knots. So much easier to refuel in the 16. Back to practice now with better success already.
-
Update: It seems to be related to altitude. If I choose 25,000 feet I can get the speed up to 287 knots. At 18,000 the tanker slows to somewhere between 247 and 264. Is the AI set to specific limits? Using a KC-135

I have tried everything I can find to increase the speed of the tanker. No matter what it slows to 264 knots which is a little slow for the F-16. I set the speed to 315 and it still spawns and stays at 264.

I agree, should have the default speed at least at a jog.

I have come to a point that I do not update to a new version unless it has an update I need. I have had to many times that it messed things up and I did not have a previous version file downloaded. I try to make sure that when I do decide to accept an update and it is working OK, I download the file so that when the next update comes and it is bugged I can go back. learned this the hard way when it had en many months of updates and one failed but I did not have a copy of the previous. So I actually had to go to one quite a way back that I had to at least be usable. Not a knock on winwing as this stuff just happens and they usually get it resolved fairly quickly, just not the day I want to fly lol.

Will more RAM improve my fps?

I have a 5 year old gaming laptop that came with 16 GB. Earlier this year I went to 32 GB and if definitely made a difference for me with stutters. I think is was just the reduced cashing that helped it smooth things out. I plan to upgrade my rig in the next couple years but this certainly got me over the hump for now, so I say it is worth it. -
Thank You silverdevil, I used your file with no modification and with also just the MFD line and he result was still about the same. Not as clear as it use to be or as good as the tutorials from the ED guys. It is manageable but I miss how it was before the August update.

I made one, unfortunately it didn't seem to do anything so I guess I have to live with it. I appreciate the help.

Don't see anything there either. So any pointers are welcome! Using the same AGM65D on other aircraft like the A-10 they have a much better picture.
-
Thanks for the idea, can't seem to locate that file.
-
That was a pretty good underground flying job!

Thanks, this was the perfect info I needed. Just recently decided to start learning the A-10 after owning it for several years and was having issues with the location of the HUD info including reticles to high or off the screen. This fixed it right up and works well with Tobii.

Thanks, I hear you. Just figured that since ED responded to this thread just a week before I posted that it would get some notice.

Good suggestion, switch to MSAA no change. I think I will. I understand it may be even better then even IRL. But as DCS goes it was not like this a few weeks ago.

Thank! I have only used them on the 16. I was primarily wondering why it changed and if it was intended. Or if there is a new setting I am missing. If it was meant to be that way I can live with that. DCS videos I see out there show a much clearer picture. Mine use to look this way but suddenly changed in the last month.
