  1. It seems that marking with the lazer in Apache is limited to 9999m. Other users pointed out that this is probably a bug and that the laser is quite suitable for marking over 10km. up to 15km relates to: below 9999m.trk above 9999m.trk
  2. Hey All, I have been saving targets, so that I can maneuver to a better firing position and then make it is easier to re-acquire the target. What I have noticed is that after saving and then re-slaving to the same target location, even if I don't move at all, then the TADS is not actually returning to the same spot. I have been very careful to zooming in fully and making sure I am exactly on the target spot that I want to save. The target has not moved. I am pretty sure that I have bore sighted the CPG properly prior to taking off. The TADS does not save the target spot and / or does not return to it exactly. Sometimes it is off by quite a bit of distance. This normal? If so, is it because the Apache uses 4 digit MGRS resolution vs the 5 digit resolution of like the A-10C? Thanks in advance, Caldera
  3. From i understand that in real life is that chaff irl works by reflecting away the radar beams. And that will create a shadow/blind spot for the radar. However i tested this in dcs it does not seem to work that way. My preferred method in dcs is the following 1. LOS 2. Drain the missile from its energy 3. Notch it
  4. Couldn't find this when doing a forum search, but is it normal that when you change contrast on the TPOD, that you see 2 different tints of green symbology? Anyone else seeing this? (if not, I'll have to figure out what's going on here )
  5. When you turn off external lighting on wings, they are still turned on (they flash or light, depends on the setting). Tail and fuselage and brightness works. Is that how it suppose to work? Its just strange, since there is an option to turn them on/off.
  6. Hi Team, First of all, thanks for all your hard work, I am a newer player and getting to know the Viper has been an absolute joy. So here is what I am experiencing and a track file is included: This week's goal was to learn the AN/ASQ-213 but after going through every tutorial I could find and switching up cold start/hot start/air start, single player/multiplayer I am fairly sure I have encountered a bug that I can't get past. I cannot get the HAD page to display contacts. They are showing up on the RWR as normal and also I know where some of these radar positions are being familiar with training maps (for example in this track file I know which sites are at STPT 7) but for the life of me I can't get the HAD page to display anything. It has never worked for me once though I know it works for others so unfortunately this may be system specific to me. The weird thing is (for known sites) if I carefully slew the HAD cursor around where I think it might be, even though there is no symbology showing up, I can cursor over them to the point the position data is displayed in the header of the HAD and I can even lock these phantom targets and hand off for launch. But to be clear, the HAD is apparently completely devoid of targets. This is for Caucasus, single and multiplayer (Hoggit - GAW server). Every time, all the time. VR and non-VR. Hopefully the track file is helpful, I tried to keep it as short as possible. System specs: GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz 4.00 GHz RAM 32.0 GB 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor Windows 10 Home I'm crossing my fingers that I am just an idiot and missed something super simple.   7. this one took some digging to figure out. test mission and screenshots attached. Pretty niche and bizarrely specific bug but its pretty noticeable. I don't recall this being an issue before 2.7 but i dont remember tbh PG green tint test.miz

  9. Per the title, Even when TGP is set to MAN, TMS up or right still attempts handoff to the maverick. see attached .trk MK MAV handoff in MAN.trk
  10. Since update at the end of April, F16 radar in RWS is extremely difficult to enter plots into RWS. TMS UP seems to be broken and multiple attempts are required to enter a radar plot into RWS. This results in very short range tracking, even though the contact was present from the normal range. So, the radar picks up contacts as before, but it is very difficult to get them into RWS
  11. Yeah... that's the question - TILT!! So, I was trying out the new ACLS system in Case III Recovery, and after landing I noticed I had TILT in the HUD at the upper right. Anyone know why, and what exactly it means?
  12. Why does the text on the bottom part of the display on the left MFD always gets cut off??? Is there anyway to fix that? My res is 2560x1440 and 1024 on the cockpit in game! Thanks, Joe

  14. Hi, as per title, CASE III situation when you command RTB to your Flight, triggers "marking moms" behaviour and logic also for player, I don't know if it's should be like that.
  15. Hello, As the title suggests, HAD passes target to HARM even if HARM is not the selected weapon: 1. Turn both HARM and GBU38 on 2. select GBU38 as the active munition in the SMS 3. Select emitter as target in the HAD 4. The emitter turns red and an EOM solution appears, even when HARM is not the selected weapon in SMS See attached .trk file MK HAD HARM when not selected.trk
  16. Hi there! Although the weapon is activted, and shows "RDY" (and can be fired in PRE mode), the CNTL page does not open upon pressing the corresponding OBS, nor can I change the offset (marked with the triangle) on the JSAW weapon page. Why is that, or am I doing something wong? Thanks a lot in advance for your help!
  17. Hi, As in the title, turning the RWR OFF while the jammer is transmitting and the JAMMER ON legend is visible in the RDR ATTK format leaves the JAMMER on text forever in the RDR ATTK format. jammer on.trk
  18. I understand this is early access, but we're actually progressing backwards: HARM: HAD/HTS PGM is broken, we've got PGM1 with >50NM on the longitudinal axis. Useless. JDAM: Splash damage isn't correctly modeled, so attacking a tank, AAA, BMP... is a coin toss in any case the bomb doesn't go directly through the vehicle's hatch. Maverick: The WPN page is unreadable 98% of the times, this wouldn't be as troubling if the TGP worked but, alas, it doesn't. JSOW: These are a joke, they can't kill a rubber duck to save their lives. Laser guided bombs work all right though. It's a pity they have so little range. Please don't ask for a track, these issues are well documented throughout the forum. Please just let me know when will they be fixed so I can set a date in my calendar to come back to the game.
  19. Hard to definitively say this is a "bug" since the real workings of the system are classified and I'm sure ED had to do some abstraction with how they model the system. However... The AUTO dispensers component of the CMWS continues to run flare programs after the incoming missile can no longer possibly detected (for example, because it has crashed into the sea). It seems unlikely that the intent was for the system to continue dispensing when the threat has passed some time ago. It seems the minimum number of dispense profiles that will get triggered is 3 before the system stops. Given that at the ranges a typical MANPAD or other IR SAM is fired, only the first run of the program will have fired before the missile reaches the aircraft the subsequent 2 program runs are effectively wasted every time.   21. As per title, When you put in all the MGRS Grid info into any of the STPT's (20-24) and then back out to the CNI pages or go back to LAT/LONG it doesn't save, it also doesn't create an actual STPT on the HSD to navigate to
  22. i dont know if design limitation or bug but i tried to set inboard pylons to smoke rockets, and outer pylons to HE but during the arm/refuel menu, i see a bug or problem in which once i set one type of rocket on a pylon, and then a different type of rocket than the first, the load out will disappear, or at least, it looks like a new empty loadout graphic over / covering the original loadout inventory graphic. in the end, i was not able to mix rocket types, i have to stick with one type of rocket.
  23. So I bought the Viper on pre order but have not done anything with it until recently. Figured I would fly the thing around in preparation for the big update. My first impression is wow, this thing handles like a school bus. I was expecting a sports car, but compared to the Hornet it just seems so sluggish, especially in the roll axis. In comparison, the Hornet feels very precise, requiring minimal stick deflection to get an expected result. The Viper (for me anyway) seems to require a great deal more stick movement and just feels slow to respond. I'm using a CH fighterstick with no curves or dead zones of any kind (same with Hornet). Is this a "me" problem or is anyone else have the same impression? Maybe my expectations of just throwing this thing around were too optimistic.
  24. I have that huge winwing tarus throttle. It gives a lot off fine control. But even with that on the F16, doing fine controls when AAR etc. it's really hard getting the sweets spot. Either to fast or to slow. The engine responds much slower then the F18 engine.
  25. Been this way for a while now, but does anyone know why, when using the WINWING radar elevation axis on the throttle, the "up" zooms in and the "down" zooms out? Maybe this is intended behavior from the real system? Just seems a bit counter intuitive. If you go and invert the axis in the controls menu, it 'fixes' the 'problem,' but then messes up the RDR ELEV logic.
