Yes it seems similar. However for me occurs not just with the C+M/SW mode, but also when just selecting them with the white buttons on the weapons selection panel.

Once i have selected the sidewinder in any of the modes it wont stop seeking(growling). Even when I use the 'R deselection switch' it keeps on making the sound. How do i stop this. Am i being dumb? Or is this a bug?
