  1. Hello my friend. About your questions/remarks: - Almost all procedures wants the pilot to fly a parallel track with the RWY and close to it or overfly it, when the missed approach start. So it is correct this. - You can use both, depending of the phrase. My phrase is correct giving emphasis that you will execute the turn in a climb. As you mentioned you can see e.g. climbing right turn to 3,000 to intercept R-XXX... In any case, the meaning of the procedure don't change or confusing. - The MSA between 140° and 205° is 10,600 FT MSL. You are right about the placement of the MSA, but still the problem to fit the text into very small area due to close tracks will be there. - A holding-entry-diagram isn't default inclusion to NATO/US approach nav. charts. Thank you for your care about my chart as also for your remarks. I hope to like the procedure and enjoy it. Nikos.
  2. Dear friends, I have created a TACAN approach chart for Kutaisi airport in Caucasus region. Chart created from scratch of DCS World v2.9.1.48335 and is not an adaptation of a real chart in order to have inaccuracies. It is under scale, that means it has extreme precision! Pay special attention to the date that you fly your mission, in order to be valid the bearings of the chart (years 2016-2024). E.g. If your mission has date 31 December 2015 (and for some years ago), then the Mag. Var. will be 6 deg. E and then the approach TACAN radial will be 071 (instead of 070 of the chart). Included also the ILS approach chart for Kutaisi and Kobuleti airports. A preview of it below: Download link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3335610/ I hope to enjoy it. Feel free to post your questions and remarks. Nikos.
  3. So the winner is: Kutaisi airport in Georgia from Caucasus region (map). It will has a TACAN approach to RWY 25, since RWY 07 already has a procedure, an ILS approach. The sooner I can, I will provide the chart. See you. Nikos.
  4. Dear friends, Voting for the next approach chart ended. 3 airports share the win place, so there is a need for one final voting in order to we have a winner. You can vote ONLY for one airport of the below as also for their type of approach as the list offer: - Kutaisi (Georgia) - TACAN approach (ONLY – already created an ILS approach) - Sochi-Adler (Russia) - ILS approach (ONLY) - Tbilisi-Lochini (Georgia) - ILS or TACAN approach All 3 airports belong to Caucasus region (map). Rules are as in the first/main voting post here: Voting ends at Tuesday 7 November 2023 at 23:59 forum time. IF again there is no winner, I will choose one airport of them as also its approach type. Nikos.
  5. Voting ended. For anyone that interested, there is a final voting here: Nikos.
  6. Hello there. Thank you for your kindly words. Congratulations for your work. Well have no problem, no offence taken Nikos.
  7. Dear friends, For those of you that like and enjoy my works of Air Navigation for DCS World, I decided my next approach chart to be a decision by you, in order to please you more. That means that you can vote by a post for your desired airport that like to have an approach procedure. Voting will be active for a week, until and Saturday 4 November 2023 at 23:59 forum time. Each member can vote only 1 time via a post and the vote must have the format: Region (map) – Airport name – Type of approach Examples: Caucasus – Tbilisi-Lochini – TACAN approach Marianas – Antonio B. Won Pat – ILS approach Rules – Clarifications 1) You can vote ONLY 1 time! Not even for the same airport but for different type of approach. 2) Votes for the same airport but with different type of approach counts summary for the airport, and in case that will be the winner, the type with most votes of it will define the approach type. 3) If an airport has only ILS, then I can provide a GPS to ILS approach, so you can vote for these airports. 4) If an airport has no TACAN station (or it has VOR or NDB or RSBN) I can provide a GPS approach, so you can vote for these airports. 5) In case that 2 or more airports share the first place of voting, then it will be 1 more day of new voting between ONLY these airports that share the first place. The same counts if an airport wins but has more than 1 type of approach with the same votes, so the extra 1 day voting will be needed for its type of approach. 6) Regions (maps) that accepted right now are the free Caucasus and Marianas. If a member or members of a virtual squadron need an approach chart for an airport of a paid region (e.g. for famous Nellis AFB of Nevada region), then he (she)/they vote for it ONLY if been able to provide me a key for this region (IF this is possible – I don’t know). IF this is NOT possible, THEN their vote must be for an airport of Caucasus or Marianas region, if they want to vote. This is NOT by any means an attempt to get for free a key for a paid region!!! ONLY an offer to please a friend/friends that want a procedure of their loved airport and have a second/spare key of that region/map that don’t use! 7) If a member want any clarification he/she can ask by a post (or pm). Of course this post of question doesn’t count as a vote and member don’t lose the ability to post after that and vote. 8 ) If a vote/post needs a clarification (e.g. missing a factor of 3 data that the voting needs) then I will notify the member the sooner possible, and when he/she will update its post into the proper time, THEN the vote counts. Below you can see a preview of a GPS approach: Now you are welcome to vote, if you want. With my regards, Nikos.
  8. Dear friends, I have created an ILS approach chart for Kobuleti airport in Caucasus region. Chart created from scratch of DCS World v2.8.7.42718 and is not an adaptation of a real chart in order to have inaccuracies. It is under scale, that means it has extreme precision! Pay special attention to the date that you fly your mission, in order to be valid the bearings of the chart (years 2017-2023). E.g. If your mission has date 30 June 2016 (and for some years ago), then the Mag. Var. will be 6 deg. E and then the Loc course will be 064 deg. (instead of 063 of the chart) and the TACAN radial at IAF will be 243 (instead of 242 of the chart). A preview of it below: Included also the ILS approach chart for Kutaisi airport. Download link: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3333874/ I hope to enjoy it. Feel free to post your questions and remarks. Nikos.
  9. You are welcome. It seems that Kobuleti has fans... Your desire/vote noted Nikos.
  10. Thank you for the link. I have into my hands official latest charts for a lot of countries... Keep in mind that matters, and actually a lot, some variation that you MAY think that it doesn't matter! So 1 deg. in bearing, 0.5 NM in distance as also some "few" feet in altitude and you already start to have a serious problem! Think IF the chart isn't perfect/precise and you have to fight a strong crosswind... I don't know how well you are aware of using Nav. procedures, BUT precision counts in Air Navigation!!! That's why I'm creating from scratch... Take care. Nikos.
  11. Well, about the "climb runway heading", I can tell you these: Been a civil engineer and after study hundreds of real (mostly) military procedures of all kind as also been aware of the rules to create procedures, I know that each department of creating/drawing these procedures has its own style. Means that a lot of times there are no standard phrases. So for specific section phrases like: Climb RWY Climb RWY track Climb straight ahead Climb on track XXX are in use and they all mean to continue fly straight ahead with exactly the same heading as the RWY. I have no problem to make it a little more clear with a "Climb on track 067 and...". Maybe with the next chart release to update this Nice to see that Kobuleti is into the desired airports for approach procedure. Nikos.
  12. Hello my friend. Thank you for your kindly words! Well I have some requests for an ILS approach chart for Kobuleti airport. You have something in mind? Maybe a specific airport that should for sure has an approach chart? Let me know... P.S. Right now I have the free version of DCS World v2.8.7.42718, means the Caucasus and Marianas regions. IF needed an approach chart for an airport of a paid region, I can do this BUT it will be nice IF someone has a "spare"/second key that actually don't need and can pass it to me. DO NOT get me wrong! I'm not trying to get a key for a region for free. This stands ONLY IF someone (or maybe a virtual squadron) wants a quality chart and has available a key that he/they don't use. Nikos.
