  1. Been looking for an answer, but haven't found it. I just received my apache collective. Everything works and I like it. But I can't seem to get the twist throttle mapped or the cursor mapped. I know both are an axis, but when I go into DCS to adjust controls, neither the throttle twist grip is picked up nor the cursor hat. I'm sure it's an easy fix, but I can't seem to figure it out. What am I missing? Thanks!
  2. Well, that didn't work. I think it may be a hardware issue.
  3. Where would I find the "sleep function?" I have them running to a powered USB hub and have checked the cables. I have even tried different USB ports. Same issue.
  4. I recently got the TopGun MIP's and installed them. I set them up in Windows and SimApp Pro. However, every time I start DCS, the right DDI, and only the Right DDI, turns off, then on, like a glitch. When that happens, it throws everything out of whack. The DDI's aren't setup anymore, and it even screws with my audio in my headset and SRS. I can ALT-TAB out of DCS and quickly reset it without leaving the game, but it is a real pain in the ass, especially during carrier landings, A2A refueling and night ops. This happens several times a session. I've look through the forums and can't find anyone that has had this problem. I've uninstalled/re-installed SimApp, tried different cables, etc. but it keeps happening. Any ideas?
  5. Thanks all. Yes, it was the Force Feedback box. Once I unchecked it, it made trimming and flying much easier!
  6. That did 't seem to work. I still have to maintain forward pressure on the stick the entire time. If I relax the stick, my nose pitches up and I start going backwards
  7. Thanks for the quick response. I'll give this a try.
  8. I've looked for an answer, but can't seem to find one. I just got into flying helicopters. I've been flying the F-18 exclusively for about a year. I'm running WinWing HOTAS stick and throttle. My question is this: When I fly the helo, I have to keep constant forward pressure on the stick (cyclic). The WinWing stick has a return to center feature. I know in helicopters, the cyclic does not do this. So, is there a setting that I can tweak, or something I need to push to keep from having to keep constant pressure on the cyclic? It gets pretty tiring after about five minutes, and takes all the fun out of it. I know it's possible, as I've seen plenty of YouTube videos of people flying helicopters with this stick, but no one explains how to set up a "jet stick" to fly helicopters. Thanks for the help.
  9. I know this is an older thread, but I couldn't find anything else on it. I've ordered the PTO2, and it should be here next week. I also have an Orion 2 throttle. For those of you that have both, I'm looking for ideas as to what to bind the duplicate switches to. For example, on the throttle base, I have switches for: 1. Launch Bar 2. Hook 3. Wing fold 4. Landing gear 5. Parking brake 6. Flaps All of these are replicated on the PTO2. So, what do you bind the above six switches to? Looking for ideas. Thanks
  10. rapid, That is correct. I went back and uninstalled the HF8 software and SSA software for a clean install. Plugged everything in, installed ONLY the SSA software and everything worked fine.
  11. I just received the NLR HF8 seat. Install went fine, however when I start DCS, I get the following error message. Has anyone seen this or knows how to fix it?
  12. OK. I'll have to look into that.
  13. I was wondering if anyone has experienced the following: Sometimes, while I'm in multiplayer, while flying over water, the ocean "flows" in the opposite direction that I'm flying. This is particularly evident during carrier landings, (ie: I'm in the overhead break to the left, but the ocean makes it look like I'm flying backwards). It's almost like having vertigo. Again, it doesn't always happen, but when it does, it makes carrier landings odd and difficult. Has anyone else experienced this?
  14. Brun, Thanks for the suggestion. It was my TrackIR that was preventing the keys from working. Got it sorted out. Thanks!
  15. I recently ran into this problem and was wondering if anyone else has. My "enter" keys stop working when I load DCS. So, when I play DCS, my enter keys, on both the keyboard and 10 key stop working. Those keys aren't bound to any command, so I can't seem to find the issue. Another thing, is that once I get into DCS, but then leave the game, the problem continues into my regular computing, (ie internet browsing, word docs, etc). And the only way to fix it is to reboot my computer, which fixes it, until I load DCS. Now, I've recently installed voice attack, and I don't remember it happening before that, but I can't be sure, and I don't see any conflicting bindings in the settings. I've updated the keyboard driver - didn't work I've tried a different keyboard - same issue Any ideas? While it's not a catastrophic issue, I'd like to fix it. Thanks
  16. Hello, I'm new to DCS, but am interested in joining. Let me know if it's still available. Thanks
