the vertical velocity indication only works in NAV mode, it is explained in the DCS F-16 manual on the HEADS-UP DISPLAY (HUD) chapter in pg 92

Hi Thanks to @lovethewayoumove and all the people that posted here. I have a similar problem with stuttering DCS and I followed the indications but unfortunatelly did not help. In my case the problem was an interference with another software (I am still investigating which one it was) running under windows. I closed all not necessary software (on the bottom right of windows11) and finally I could fly without stuttering. I hope it helps you too!
