fixed UH-1H XM158 Rocket Pods shoot straight to north
vvizard replied to N0XID's topic in Bugs and Problems
Can confirmed this happen on my client as well as yesterday, with latest (as of yesterday) patch on the Kola map. -
I didn't notice the PDF manuals until half way through the campaign, so worked very good without them I can say What I actually missed (but this is subjective of course), is to have a few pictures on the briefing screen, with the gist of the mission you're about to fly. Seeing the route etc. Then it's easier to decide roughly how long that mission might take, and then decide if one want to spawn it right away, or postpone it to some other time. At the lack of a visual flight plan on the briefing, I opened the mission planner to get an idea, but enemies where not hidden from the mission planner, so that tended to spoil things a bit.

@Cyking Another attempt at uploading the track-file. https://anonymfile.com/eKVdQ/unifil-11fail.trk For resolution, I play in VR on a quest3. Not exactly sure of the resolution it renders at. Think maybe I have text-scaling turned on somewhere in DCS, as by default, messages are rendered very small in VR.

Played through the campaign. Good mix of missions, and great effort on the story! Lot's of nice details, like the radio, and the pieces of history sprinkled in. Missions are quite short, and can definitely be played without reading the pdf briefings. But briefings contain some additional facts about the conflict, which are nice. Kneeboards where also providing the necessary information, without getting to overwhelming. Skill level required i'd put somewhere around medium'ish mark I guess. Most of the missions have gentle winds, fair weather, and none of the landing spots are crazy tight. Although some exceptions to fair weather exists during the campaign, and not all landing sites are football field sized. But for the most part, nothing crazy. I enjoyed it, and would recommend it. Keep up the good work!

The final / The date (SPOILERS)
vvizard replied to vvizard's topic in DCS: UH-1H Peacekeeper Lebanon Campaign
After finishing "The Date", I also got the message that an outro would start automatically. Then "The Date" was loaded once more. -
Hi, I finished the campaign, kind of. I choose the BND-route for the final mission. After landing on TILDE, it said the mission had ended, and that an outro should load automatically. What instead loaded automatically, was the mission "The Date". Which I "guess" is not what is intended from the mission briefings. My impression is that one will play one of those missions as the final, not both. So that's probably something to look into I guess. I'm happy to be able to play both of them, so no worries from me. I enjoyed the campaign! Thanks for putting it together. Hope my feedback on the campaign will help it get even better!

First the minor one. Kneeboard for mission 11 shows LZ pages for the wrong missions. IIRC those where the LZ for mission 10. Another possible issue. When clearing the LZ of hostiles, the two trucks escape. One to the north, one to the west. First play through, I chased the northbound truck. Forced it to stop, and was asked to land next to it. I did, but nothing happened. I saved a *.trk file I have attached. I have not verified if the *.trk file plays correct though, as in my experience, sometime track files from DCS get really messed up. But take my word for it. When landing next to the truck, nothing triggers. I took of and landed again at different sides of the truck. Reduced RPM as well, to get the bird heavy on the skids, as I thought that could maybe amount to 1 ft or so of AGL height, if that was used as a trigger. But nothing. Next play through, I chased the west-bound truck, and the triggers was OK when landing next to the truck. Mission accomplished. Here's an external link to the *.trk file. Forum didn't allow me to attach, because of file size. Track file

Kneeboard error in mission 09 "Shebaa Farms". Kneeboard says 51.2 MHz, it should be 52.1 MHz. Also, I attached a screenshot from my list of flown missions. But I have no idea if this is a bug in the campaign, or a bug in DCS itself (or something completely different). I finished Mission 08 "Escort". As far as I can tell, according to the intention. Landed the bird, got the "mission complete" screen, and ended the mission. But still, the next mission was mission 08 once again, instead of mission 09. I don't know why. But I flew mission 08 once more, same procedure as last time, and when finished for the second time, mission 09 arrived. No idea why that happened, or who's to blame. Just reporting it here, in case it's a problem with the campaign that should be looked into, or in case others run into the same issue.

Hi! At start of mission 05 (maritime rescue mission) it says the ships location is marked on the map. As far as I can tell, it is not marked on the map. As one is also given a heading, and a homing beacon, it's not a big issue at all. But maybe you could look into whether that location is actually given in the map. Could be me being blind as well ofc

Thank you for your quick response!

Just to clearify. CL destroys the two attack boats, while I sit on it's helipad. But the destruction of the two attack boats, doesn't trigger anything. Then CL continues to engage the "mothership" that the attack boats where launched from. It continues to fire until it (I presume) run out of ammunition. But it doesn't do any (visual) damage to the large boat, and nothing seem to trigger. I waited it out a good 10 minutes after CL stopped firing, then I quit and skipped the mission. Except from that, I enjoy the campaign, and hope this issue will be sorted out

After encountering the two fast attack boats and landing back at Castle Leeds, CL open fire, while I'm asked to stand by. CL engage the ship until it runs out of ammunition (it seems). Nothing happens thereafter. Both CL, and the attacked ship is just sitting there, and no further tasking is given.
