hey all, sorry to start a new thread but i for some reason cant reply to threads. i recently had a problem when trying to boot up DCS and i don't know what's the issue. when i open it, the loading screen comes up on the monitor, and then it just minimizes to a task bar. does anyone know of any troubleshooting?

hey y'all, really stupid question about the pimax crystal light which I plan on buying here soon; do you need to buy the controllers too, to operate the VR with DCS? did a search online and couldn't find anything on that. guess its just too dumb of a question? lol.

thread revival: currently in the market for rudder pedals, and was looking at winwing and virpil. does anyone have a pair of these and can share opinions or maybe throw out some ideas that I should buy instead. anything is appreciated. thanks y'all!

yeah, I was looking at lucsheeps suggestions and although they have pcie 5, better VRM's, etc. all of them didn't have good review notes. a good mobo is something ive struggled on finding. The Gigabyte B650 AORUS ELITE AX ATX AM5 Motherboard seems to be alluring. good reviews and has pcie 5.

Straight Power 12 1000 W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply, the mobo to the MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard, my second storage to your recommendation, and will be looking into installing windows on a flash drive instead.

OK, after a bit of consideration, this is what I was thinking for my build. before I start spending mula, I wanted to get your guys' final input/ suggestions and to ask few last questions. for the compatibility notes, sorry to sound like a novice, but what do they mean? is my RAM too big to fit with the CPU coolers? do I have too much pin power connectors (idek what those are...)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7800X3D Motherboard: Asrock670e pro RAM: DDR5 6000 64GB SSD: samsung 980 pro 2TB (do I need two SSD's?) GPU: 4080 super (gigabyte has good reviews but MSI is also good; not sure which one to choose...) CPU coolers: ? (do you guys think an AIO or air flow would be better? im kind of leaning towards air since its my first pc) ATX pc case: ? (not sure which case would be best. will be looking more into it) case fans: ? (how many fans (intake and exhaust) should I purchase?) PSU: ? (looking at the corsair rm750x or rm850x or the Seasonic Prime TX 850w Platinum) (there's so many and I dont know which one to choose) VR headset: pimax crystal light (thanks for the tip btw!) joystick and throttle: AVA with hotas warthog (if you guys really think its not worth it even with the AVA, ill broaden my scope) Rudder pedals: TPR (expensive and im sure ill change my decision to a cheaper pair) sim pit: simfab flight sim cockpit (good reviews. hey all, I am new and work in the 154th wing, hoping to make a sim to gain pilot skills to help me out in UPT if I ever got picked up to fly the raptor. I was reading a few of these threads and to be honest, I can't seem to choose what to buy because everyone's has their own ways of creating one. I dont really think you can just pick out what to buy based on others advice without people knowing what you want so I thought id post something to see what you guys think. right now, the budget is looking like 10k. I dont want or need to buy a TOP performance setup and was hoping to have spare money which would be used for a PPL. I just need something that's good, and will last me at least a few years without running into any problems such as game stuttering or crashing due to low performance parts. to get started, I was looking at buying a crystal VR, the thrust master hotas wathog and the foxxmount desk mounts. ultimately, I just need to know what to buy to make a decent pc. anything is appreciated.
